AEGEAN, the flagship carrier of Greece, is elevating its premium offering with a bespoke Airbus A321neo configuration tailored for long-haul non-EU routes, targeting emerging markets to the south and southeast of Greece.
This strategic move centers around a dedicated sub-fleet of four A321neo aircraft, each engineered with additional center tanks to extend their range up to 7.5 hours—ideal for connecting Athens with key destinations in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
Cabin interiors are being reimagined for superior comfort, particularly for Business Class guests. The new layout will feature fewer than 180 seats, down from the standard 220, ensuring a more spacious and exclusive environment.
Passengers can look forward to cutting-edge amenities, including high-speed satellite Wi-Fi, personal in-flight entertainment screens at every seat, and fully flat beds in Business Class, rivaling the best in regional premium travel.
AEGEAN’s enhanced A321neos will serve both established and emerging non-EU destinations, with flight durations ranging from four to seven and a half hours. Confirmed and potential markets include the Gulf (Riyadh, Jeddah, Dubai), as well as prospective cities such as Bahrain, Doha, Muscat, Lagos, Addis Ababa, Nairobi, Delhi, Mumbai, and Almaty.
The first of these state-of-the-art aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2026 and 2027. As of 2025, AEGEAN’s network spans 180 destinations in 49 countries, operating 307 routes with a modern fleet of 76 aircraft, including recent deliveries of nine new Airbus 320/321neo jets.
