Air India partners with TUMI for new amenity kits

Air India has launched a sophisticated new collection of inflight amenity kits, crafted in partnership with the renowned American luxury travel brand, TUMI.

As part of an ambitious transformation since its privatization, Air India is placing a strong emphasis on enhancing the premium cabin experience. The exclusive TUMI amenity kits are now available for First Class, Business Class, and Premium Economy travelers. Additionally, First and Business Class guests receive upgraded Sleepwear for added comfort during long-haul journeys.

First Class Amenity Kits

First Class passengers receive a sleek black vegan leather TUMI case, inspired by the brand's signature packing cube design and fitted with a convenient carry handle. Inside, you'll find curated skincare by Malin + Goetz—featuring Hand & Body Lotion and Face Mist—plus Abhati Suisse Lip Treatment. Essential travel items such as a TUMI-branded eye mask, socks, dental kit, earplugs, pen, and tissues are also included for a truly indulgent experience.

Business Class Amenity Kits

The Business Class kits are presented in a hard shell mini-case drawing inspiration from TUMI’s 19 Degree collection, known for its dynamic contours and modern lines. Passengers receive a detachable vegan leather patch which can be monogrammed at any TUMI boutique, adding a bespoke touch. The kit contains Malin + Goetz skincare (Lip Moisturizer, Hand & Body Lotion, Face Mist), a TUMI eye mask, socks, dental kit, earplugs, pen, and tissues—offering both style and substance.

Premium Economy Amenity Kits

Premium Economy guests are provided with a TUMI Boxford zip pouch in refined black and gunmetal hues. Each kit includes a Malin + Goetz Lip Moisturizer, TUMI eye mask, socks, pen, and tissues, ensuring essential comfort for every journey.

TUMI Sleepwear

Air India's TUMI Sleepwear is thoughtfully designed with a blend of recycled fibers and cotton, prioritizing softness and breathability. Each set repurposes the equivalent of twenty-three 500ml plastic bottles, contributing to over 18 million bottles recycled every year—a testament to Air India's sustainability leadership.

The sleepwear features a chic, unisex crew-neck silhouette in two-tone grey marle, highlighted by crisp white stitching and TUMI’s signature red accents. Each set is presented in a reusable cotton-blend pouch with a contrasting TUMI red drawstring, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to eco-conscious luxury. Sleepwear is available to First and Business Class guests.

As of 2025, Air India has resumed First Class service on flagship routes between London Heathrow and Delhi, with plans to expand to Mumbai. The airline continues to operate First Class on select Boeing 777 flights to North America, and the latest fleet additions are being deployed on high-demand London routes. Every Air India 777 is now equipped with the new Premium Economy cabin, aligning with the carrier’s global standards.

Marking a milestone in Indian aviation, Air India is the first national carrier to operate from London Gatwick, now serving Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Kochi, and Goa from this hub, following a strategic shift from Heathrow.

Following its return to private ownership under the Tata Group in 2022, Air India is executing a comprehensive five-year transformation, widely recognized as one of the most significant turnarounds in the aviation sector. The integration of Vistara, also owned by Tata, is underway, cementing Air India’s position as a leading international airline.

The airline has placed multi-billion dollar orders for new aircraft from both Boeing and Airbus, is rolling out upgraded inflight entertainment systems, and is expanding frequencies to the Middle East—including popular destinations like Dubai and Doha.
