Air India, the nation’s flagship airline, has rolled out a sweeping brand transformation, introducing reimagined Business Class, First Class, and Premium Economy suites that set new benchmarks for luxury air travel. 

Since joining the Tata Group in early 2022, Air India has undergone a strategic overhaul, including a refreshed brand identity and a record-breaking order for 470 state-of-the-art aircraft to rejuvenate its fleet.

The newly designed Business and First Class cabins are now all-suite, featuring sliding doors for unrivaled privacy and exclusivity.

Business Class:

Business Class:

Air India’s Business Class now boasts an expansive, light-filled cabin designed for discerning travelers. The 1-2-1 suite configuration grants each guest direct aisle access and personal space. Every suite is appointed with a fully flat bed, wireless device charging, a plush ottoman, and an ultra-high-definition touchscreen display. The sophisticated palette of deep grey and aubergine is offset by elegant rose gold and silver highlights, creating an ambiance of contemporary Indian luxury.

First Class:

First Class:

Building on the Business Class foundation, Air India’s new First Class elevates the experience with a more spacious suite, a premium entertainment screen, and a signature deep red color scheme. The enhanced ottoman offers even greater comfort, ideal for long-haul journeys.

With just a single row of suites arranged in a 1-2-1 layout, First Class ensures maximum privacy and personalized service for each guest.

Travelers in Premium Economy enjoy ergonomically designed seats in a 2-4-2 arrangement, offering generous legroom and enhanced recline. This cabin is now standard across all new and retrofitted Air India long-haul aircraft, catering to guests seeking elevated comfort at a competitive price point.

The updated livery features a bespoke typeface and a bold tailfin motif in crimson, gold, and royal purple—drawing inspiration from India’s iconic jharokha window frames. The airline’s new ‘Vista’ emblem encapsulates boundless opportunity, progress, and a forward-thinking spirit.

For 2025, Air India continues its aggressive fleet expansion, acquiring and leasing additional long-haul aircraft while commencing a comprehensive retrofit of 43 legacy jets. Following the completed merger with Vistara, the unified airline is poised to strengthen its premium offering and international footprint.

In 2025, Air India continues to introduce brand-new aircraft, starting with Airbus A350-900s. Initial deliveries may feature interim interiors, with the signature new cabins debuting on subsequent A350s and being progressively installed on the airline’s Boeing 777 and 787 fleets. The full retrofit program is underway, with completion targeted within the next two years, ensuring a consistent premium experience across all long-haul routes.
