China Airlines serves Japanese cuisine in premium cabins

This season, China Airlines, Taiwan’s flag carrier, introduces a refined Japanese culinary program for Premium Business and Business Class travelers on all flights between Taiwan and Japan. The airline’s commitment to exceptional inflight dining is showcased through an exclusive collaboration with the acclaimed Tokyo banquet restaurant TOUTOUAN, ensuring a sophisticated gastronomic journey above the clouds.

Passengers on routes such as Taipei (Taoyuan) to Tokyo (Narita), Osaka, Fukuoka, Nagoya, Taipei (Songshan) to Tokyo (Haneda), and Kaohsiung to Tokyo (Narita) and Osaka can now savor bespoke menus crafted with precision and seasonal flair. These tailored dishes spotlight the artistry of Japanese cuisine, with highlights like the signature Teriyaki Wagyu Beef paired with the aromatic Hokkaido Yumepirika rice, renowned for its delicate sweetness and superior grain texture. Menus rotate regularly to showcase the freshest regional ingredients and support local Japanese producers, reflecting a dedication to sustainability and culinary excellence.

Enhancing the sensory experience, China Airlines presents newly designed, co-branded tableware in partnership with JIA. Each piece draws inspiration from Japan’s four seasons—cherry blossoms in spring, vibrant fireworks for summer, crimson foliage in autumn, and serene snowscapes in winter—inviting guests to journey through the Japanese calendar with every course. The design philosophy, “celebrate the beauty of every season,” is elegantly realized in every bowl and plate.

For travelers seeking plant-based sophistication, China Airlines continues its alliance with the Michelin-starred Yang Ming Spring. In collaboration with China Pacific Catering Services and Kaohsiung Airport Catering Services, the airline offers menus recognized with the prestigious Michelin Green Star for sustainability in both 2021 and 2022. These innovative plant-based dishes bring gourmet, eco-conscious cuisine to the skies, catering to the evolving preferences of discerning international travelers.

With these enhancements, China Airlines reaffirms its position as a leader in premium inflight hospitality, blending culinary artistry, sustainability, and thoughtful design for a truly memorable journey between Taiwan and Japan.
