Emirates continues to set new benchmarks in luxury air travel with its rapidly expanding Premium Economy offering. Launched in 2022, this elevated cabin class has already welcomed over 200,000 discerning travelers on routes spanning the globe. As of 2025, Emirates Premium Economy is now available on flights to 13 key destinations including London Heathrow, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Christchurch, Singapore, Los Angeles, New York JFK, Houston, San Francisco, Dubai, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, with additional cities in the pipeline as the airline accelerates its fleet refurbishment program.
Currently, 20 Emirates aircraft feature the newly designed Premium Economy cabins—14 of which have undergone comprehensive upgrades in the past year—ensuring a consistent, world-class product across more routes. Our experience flying these routes confirms that Emirates has focused on every detail, from enhanced seat ergonomics to thoughtful amenities.
Since its introduction, the airline has operated nearly 5,000 Premium Economy flights, covering an impressive 40 million kilometers worldwide. Guests have enjoyed over 210,000 gourmet meals inspired by regional cuisines, with menus rotating monthly to reflect seasonal ingredients and global culinary trends. Each meal is thoughtfully concluded with fine chocolates—over 135,000 pieces served to date—alongside 7,200 kilograms of premium mixed nuts and nearly 9,000 liters of freshly prepared lemon-mint juice, all included in the Premium Economy experience. The curated beverage selection features an Emirates-exclusive Australian sparkling wine, Chandon Vintage Brut, as well as a handpicked range of international red and white wines.
In a recent collaboration, Emirates partnered with Oscar-winning actress and humanitarian Penelope Cruz, who stars in their global campaign highlighting the spaciousness and sophistication of the Premium Economy cabin. This partnership underscores Emirates’ commitment to delivering a truly exceptional onboard experience.
The Premium Economy rollout is a cornerstone of Emirates’ ambitious multi-billion-dollar retrofit initiative, which aims to upgrade 67 Airbus A380s and 53 Boeing 777s. Once completed, more than 4,000 Premium Economy seats, over 700 First Class suites, and 5,000 refreshed Business Class seats will be available, reaffirming Emirates’ leadership in premium air travel.
