Travelers flying Emirates Premium Economy now enjoy complimentary amenity kits designed to inspire conservation and sustainability.
Created in partnership with United for Wildlife, these thoughtfully curated kits spotlight the urgent plight of eight critically endangered species. The initiative aims to raise global awareness about illegal wildlife trafficking and the importance of protecting vulnerable animals. Each kit features beautifully illustrated bookmarks and packaging that highlight the green sea turtle, African elephant, blue macaw, gorilla, hammerhead shark, lion, pangolin, and black rhino—species most at risk from poaching and trafficking.
Current data from United for Wildlife underscores the crisis: Over 36,000 elephants are lost to poaching annually, putting African elephants at risk of disappearing from the wild within a generation. Black rhino populations have plummeted from half a million at the start of the 1900s to only about 27,000 today. Pangolins remain the world’s most trafficked wild mammal, with millions taken from the wild each year.
Emirates’ new amenity kits go beyond raising awareness—they are also a model of eco-friendly design. The pouches are crafted from durable, washable kraft paper and adorned with animal artwork using non-toxic soy-based ink. Inside, travelers find sustainable essentials: toothbrushes made from a blend of wheat straw and recycled plastic, eye masks and socks fashioned from rPET (recycled plastic bottles), and minimal use of new plastics. Earplugs—now made with biodegradable materials—have been recently reintroduced to the kits in 2025, reflecting Emirates’ ongoing commitment to innovation in sustainable travel.
Emirates’ Premium Economy, now available on select Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 routes, continues to expand its network, currently serving 10 major destinations with this upgraded cabin experience.
