Etihad Airways has officially introduced its latest Business Class cabin, designed exclusively for the airline’s new Airbus A321LR fleet, as confirmed by CEO Antonoaldo Neves.
The Abu Dhabi flag carrier is set to welcome ten state-of-the-art single-aisle A321LRs into its fleet, each featuring 14 fully lie-flat Business Class seats, plus two ultra-premium seats at the front of the cabin offering enhanced privacy and space.
In an exclusive interview with Aerotelegraph, Neves detailed that the new Business Class seats will offer a full-flat bed experience, aligning Etihad with leading industry competitors like Qatar Airways in terms of comfort and sophistication.
Etihad currently operates a modern fleet of nearly 90 aircraft, connecting travelers to 70 global destinations. Under Neves’ ambitious five-year growth strategy, the airline aims to expand to 110 destinations with approximately 160 aircraft in service by 2029.
While the Boeing 777X has been ruled out for future fleet expansion, Etihad is evaluating the addition of the Airbus A350-1000 to further strengthen its long-haul capabilities. Notably, there are no plans to reintroduce First Class or to launch a Premium Economy product at this time.
