Finnair is set to welcome guests to its newly designed Finnair Lounge, opening its doors on 9 July.
Strategically located on the Schengen side of Helsinki Airport adjacent to Gate 21, this lounge elevates the pre-flight experience by offering exceptional comfort and refined amenities for discerning travellers.
"We are excited to unveil our new Schengen lounge, which offers expanded seating and enhanced relaxation zones. Responding to our Finnair Plus tier members’ requests, we have curated a dedicated Platinum Corner exclusively for Finnair Plus Platinum and Platinum Lumo cardholders," stated Ole Orvér, Finnair’s Chief Commercial Officer.
Access is available for Business Class Classic and Flex fare passengers, as well as Finnair Plus Gold members. Travellers can also purchase lounge entry as an add-on during booking, via the Manage booking portal, or directly through the Finnair app.
“With capacity for up to 440 guests—an increase of 150 from the previous lounge—there is now generous space for gourmet dining, productive work, peaceful rest, and social interaction,” shared Meri Järvinen, Head of Airport Customer Experience.
The space, envisioned by Studio Joanna Laajisto, embodies the tranquil beauty of the Nordics. Natural wood finishes, organic silhouettes, and a palette inspired by Finnish nature create an inviting atmosphere. Signature pieces from Nordic designers such as Artek, Nikari, and Gubi highlight regional artistry. Expansive windows offer panoramic views of both the runway and gate area, allowing guests to soak in the airport’s dynamic energy.
