Finnair has finalized its ambitious €200 million long-haul cabin renewal, now offering a completely modernized travel experience across its entire fleet of A350 and A330 aircraft. Unveiled in 2022, this comprehensive revamp was completed within two years, setting a new benchmark for Nordic luxury in the skies.
Travelers now enjoy new-generation Business Class suites, a fully introduced Premium Economy cabin, and an upgraded Economy Class—available on all long-haul Finnair flights from Helsinki to North America, the Middle East, and Asia.
Finnair pioneered the distinctive Business Class fixed shell seat in partnership with Collins Aerospace, delivering a private, lounge-inspired environment. These seats are designed to optimize both comfort and personal space, with multiple ergonomic positions for working, dining, and sleeping—tailored to discerning travelers seeking a bespoke in-flight sanctuary.
The interiors reflect Finnair’s signature Nordic design ethos, blending deep hues with tactile materials for a sophisticated, tranquil ambiance reminiscent of the airline’s acclaimed non-Schengen lounges at Helsinki Airport.
Later this year, Finnair will unveil a new, more expansive Schengen lounge at Helsinki Airport, exclusively for Business Class and Finnair Plus elite members. Enhanced lounge access options will also be available as add-ons for all travelers.
In parallel with these upgrades, Finnair has relaunched its much-anticipated direct service between Helsinki and Bodø, Norway—a gateway to the spectacular phenomenon of the Midnight Sun.
Located above the Arctic Circle, Bodø stands out as one of Norway’s most dynamic urban centers. Finnair’s Helsinki–Bodø route remains the city’s only scheduled international link, reaffirming the airline’s commitment to unique Nordic destinations.
Flights operate five times weekly through August 12.
Beyond the ethereal Midnight Sun, Bodø offers access to Saltstraumen—the world’s most powerful tidal current—and Svartisen, Europe’s most approachable glacier.
