Finnair - new Summer menus

Finnair has launched its much-anticipated Summer 2025 menu, inviting travelers to indulge in a curated selection of vibrant, Nordic-inspired dishes and snacks designed for every palate.

Travelers flying with Finnair this summer can look forward to an enticing array of meals and snacks available for onboard purchase. Highlights include a plant-based bolognese pasta, aromatic vegetarian korma curry noodles, and wholesome berry-infused oatmeal. To complement these main offerings, the menu features a mix of savory and sweet temptations such as roasted cashew nuts, freshly baked blueberry muffins, classic salty licorice, and assorted fruit candies. Depending on the route, guests have the option to pre-order either a hot meal or a fresh sandwich. Hot selections showcase dishes like grilled chicken breast paired with carrot spaghetti, creamy carrot purée, and a vibrant pea pesto, or tender braised beef served with crispy fried potatoes, caramelized onions, green beans, and a distinctive licorice-infused sauce.

The beverage list has also been refreshed for summer, featuring a crisp rosé wine—a perfect companion for leisure travelers or those unwinding in Business Class during their journey.

On select intercontinental routes departing Helsinki—such as flights to Singapore, Nagoya, Hong Kong, and Shanghai—Finnair has enhanced its in-flight service model to better accommodate late evening departures and maximize guest comfort. Business Class travelers are welcomed with a light meal followed by a gourmet brunch prior to arrival. This brunch experience includes breakfast-inspired appetizers, a trio of dessert options, and a choice among three expertly crafted main courses. Premium Economy guests also enjoy a brunch-style lighter meal before landing, tailored for optimal freshness and flavor.

Available through late October, the Summer menu draws inspiration from the peak flavors of Nordic summers. For long-haul Business Class, starters may include salmon sashimi, a delicate shrimp tartlet, or a medley of seasonal vegetables. Mains offer refined choices such as slow-cooked beef en croute with mushroom duxelle, root vegetable purée, oven-roasted vegetables, and a rich red wine sauce, or crispy panko-breaded rainbow trout with sautéed leek, roasted vegetables, and a horseradish-mustard emulsion. The third entrée rotates depending on the specific route.

Business Class and Premium Economy passengers on long-haul flights from Helsinki can pre-select their preferred main course using the Finnair Manage Booking portal. Guests with specific dietary needs are encouraged to request special meals at least 24 hours before departure; Finnair Plus members can manage these preferences directly via their profile for added convenience.

Premium Economy travelers on long-haul routes enjoy a premium main meal and a lighter second service or snack. Complimentary hot and cold beverages, including a selection of alcoholic drinks (excluding sparkling wine), are served throughout the flight.

Finnair continues its tradition of offering complimentary blueberry juice or water on all flights, with the exception of the quick shuttle to Tallinn. Coffee, tea, and additional refreshments, along with snacks, are available for purchase during the journey. For coffee enthusiasts, an oat milk alternative is provided alongside traditional dairy options.
