Icelandair - new Amenity Kits in Business Class

Icelandair has launched its latest Business Class amenity kits, a collaboration with renowned Reykjavík artist Sara Riel. These kits feature dual bespoke designs, both inspired by the "Flóran / The Flora" motif, which echoes Riel’s celebrated mural and botanical map highlighting Iceland’s indigenous flora. The original mural, a local landmark, spans three walls and stands eight meters high in Reykjavík, celebrating the nation’s unique plant life.

Each amenity kit is available in two distinct silhouettes and crafted from premium, eco-friendly Kraft paper. The packaging seamlessly fuses contemporary Icelandair branding with authentic Icelandic natural elements, offering a tangible connection to the country’s dramatic landscapes.

The "Flóran / The Flora" artwork graces the kit’s exterior, as well as the banderole, sleeping mask, and eco-conscious packaging for essentials such as the bamboo toothbrush, toothpaste, and earplugs. Subtle blue accents have been integrated to reflect Icelandair’s iconic brand palette, creating a cohesive and modern aesthetic.

Inside, travelers will find a thoughtfully curated selection: informative Icelandair literature, Verso skincare products (including a hydrating face moisturizer and nourishing lip balm), soft recycled-polyester socks, and three exclusive Sara Riel postcards capturing the essence of Icelandic scenery.

Sustainability is central to the kit’s design: every element, from the 100% recycled Kraft paper pouch to the bamboo toothbrush and recycled TC sleeping mask, is chosen with environmental responsibility in mind. Icelandair’s commitment to eco-friendly travel is evident in every detail, aligning with current industry standards and passenger expectations for 2025.

Airlines News - Icelandair - new Amenity Kits in Business Class

Icelandair

Icelandair exemplifies how a boutique national airline can punch above its weight, connecting Iceland—a nation of under 400,000 residents—to the world. Serving more than 4 million passengers annually, Icelandair maintains a robust presence in the transatlantic market, offering direct flights between 31 European cities and 12 U.S. destinations, as well as two major Canadian gateways.

The carrier’s premium cabin, rebranded from Saga Class to Saga Premium in 2018, is often referred to as Business Class by the crew. While the offering may not match the extravagance of some global flag carriers, its appeal lies in competitive fares, a strong route network, and authentic Icelandic touches throughout the onboard experience.

Innovators in the stopover segment, Icelandair allows travelers to explore Iceland at no extra airfare, a feature that has become a signature of the brand. Onboard, guests are treated to locally inspired cuisine and beverages, further immersing them in the Icelandic experience.

Frequent travelers can join the Saga Club loyalty program, which features three tiers: Blu, Silver, and Gold. While Icelandair does not participate in a major global alliance, it has forged codeshare agreements with Air Baltic, Alaska Airlines, Finnair, JetBlue, and SAS, and maintains interline partnerships with over 50 additional carriers for seamless global connectivity.
