oneworld, the renowned global airline alliance, honors its quarter-century milestone by joining forces with London’s acclaimed The Connaught Bar to unveil a bespoke cocktail experience.
The signature creation, aptly named ‘The 25’, premiered at the Soho Lounge—an elite space within the American Airlines and British Airways joint premium lounges at John F. Kennedy International Airport’s Terminal 8.
Conceived by Ago Perrone, The Connaught Bar’s award-winning Director of Mixology, ‘The 25’ cocktail is a sophisticated blend that celebrates oneworld’s legacy. This masterful drink combines London Dry Gin, Sweet Vermouth, select bitters, Mezcal, and a custom infusion of oneworld x The Connaught Orange Grove essential oil. Drawing inspiration from the classic Negroni, it seamlessly merges Mediterranean tradition with a hint of agave-driven complexity, capturing the essence of global travel in every sip.
For travelers seeking a non-alcoholic alternative, a thoughtfully crafted mocktail version is also available. This alcohol-free interpretation features non-alcoholic London Dry Gin, cranberry juice, Mediterranean tonic, and the distinctive Orange Grove oil, delivering a vibrant, globally inspired palate.
These exclusive beverages are reserved for oneworld Emerald members and First Class passengers flying with any of the alliance’s airlines. Terminal 8 at JFK serves as the gateway for nine oneworld carriers: American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways, and Royal Jordanian.
Both the signature cocktail and mocktail will be featured in select First Class lounges throughout the oneworld global network, including the recently launched oneworld-branded lounges at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and Incheon International Airport in Seoul, which opened in summer 2024.
Marking its 25th year in 2024, oneworld continues to set the benchmark for premium alliance experiences, celebrating with unique collaborations and curated offerings for discerning travelers.
Founded in 1999, oneworld now encompasses 13 leading airlines—Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Royal Air Maroc, Royal Jordanian, and SriLankan Airlines—alongside over 20 affiliated carriers. Fiji Airways remains a valued oneworld connect partner, and Oman Air is scheduled to become the alliance’s 14th full member in 2025.
