Qantas has elevated its premium long-haul offerings by introducing a nonstop route from Perth to Paris, solidifying its position as a leader in direct Australia–Europe travel. This highly anticipated service opened in July 2024, perfectly timed for the Paris Olympics, Paralympics, and the peak European summer season.
With this launch, Qantas returns to the French capital for the first time in nearly two decades. The new direct connection trims up to three hours off the journey versus previous best-in-class itineraries, underscoring Qantas' commitment to efficiency and passenger comfort. The success of the airline's direct Perth–London and Perth–Rome flights set the stage for this expansion.
From 12 July 2024, travelers can enjoy a 17-hour nonstop journey between Western Australia and Paris aboard the advanced Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The service operates four times per week during the summer peak, scaling back to three weekly frequencies from mid-August 2024 in line with demand.
All flights depart from Qantas’ dedicated Terminal 3 at Perth Airport, ensuring smooth and swift domestic transfers for Australian travelers connecting from across the country.
This new route is more than just a point-to-point service. Through Qantas’ extensive partner network, passengers gain access to over 70 onward destinations across Europe, including major hubs like Barcelona and Munich, as well as 12 French cities. Travelers also benefit from flexible fare options, allowing arrivals in Paris with return departures from London or Rome.
Qantas’ European Network:
- QF9/QF10: Perth–London (Boeing 787)
- QF5/QF6: Perth–Rome (Boeing 787)
- QF33/QF34: Perth–Paris (Boeing 787)
- QF1/QF2: Sydney–Singapore–London (Airbus A380)
