Qantas to reopen upgraded Honolulu Business Lounge

The Qantas Airways Honolulu International Business Lounge has reopened its doors, welcoming premium travelers with a sophisticated new ambiance after an extended closure that began in early 2020.

Seasoned Qantas frequent flyers and oneworld elite members will discover a completely transformed lounge experience at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. While Qantas has kept some details of the redesign under wraps, guests can expect upgraded furnishings, refreshed interiors, and refined amenities—addressing long-standing feedback about the previous facility’s dated appearance.

Qantas continues to operate its Airbus A330-300 on the Sydney–Honolulu route, featuring 28 lie-flat Business Class suites. The nonstop journey spans approximately 9 hours and 45 minutes. For the 2025 peak travel season, Qantas has expanded its frequency with two additional weekly return flights, catering to heightened demand for luxury travel between Australia and Hawaii.

This relaunch is part of Qantas’s ongoing investment in its lounge portfolio. Recent highlights include the new Rockhampton Qantas Club, significant upgrades to the Adelaide Business Lounge, and enhancements at Port Hedland. Auckland’s premium lounge has also been elevated to support the flagship Sydney–Auckland–New York route, now operating three times weekly, solidifying Qantas’s reputation for best-in-class ground experiences.

At Honolulu International Airport, eligible Qantas guests can also enjoy access to both the oneworld Admirals Club (operated by American Airlines) and the Sakura Lounge (with Japan Airlines), providing a choice of premium pre-flight spaces.
