Qantas & Western Australia debuts new amenity kits

In a sophisticated collaboration, Qantas and Tourism Western Australia have introduced a bespoke collection of amenity kits for Business Class, featuring the evocative art of renowned Wongi artist Kevin Wilson. This initiative celebrates the global campaign, Walking On A Dream, and brings the vibrant spirit of Western Australia directly to premium travelers.

Wilson’s designs, inspired by the ancient landscapes and rich wildlife of Western Australia, elegantly depict iconic regions such as Ningaloo Reef, the Margaret River wine country, the wild Kimberley, and cosmopolitan Perth. The artwork thoughtfully weaves together the stories of ancestral trails, meandering waterways, and distinctive fauna, offering passengers a sensory introduction to the region’s cultural and natural wonders.

Travelers flying Qantas Business Class on international routes from Singapore, London, and Rome to Perth are now presented with these collectible amenity kits. Each kit includes a uniquely patterned eye mask adorned with Wilson’s artwork, plush socks, noise-reducing earplugs, and curated Lit'ya skincare—an Australian luxury brand rooted in Indigenous botanicals.

Markus Svensson, Qantas Group Chief Customer Officer, emphasized that these amenity kits serve as a curated showcase for Western Australia’s diversity and allure. “Our goal is to inspire discerning travelers to discover Western Australia’s extraordinary landscapes and culture. By collaborating with a celebrated Indigenous artist, we’re proud to offer a meaningful memento that truly embodies the essence of this remarkable region,” Svensson shared.

He highlighted that both the amenity kits and Qantas’ signature inflight pajamas remain beloved features of the airline’s international Business Class. Many frequent flyers continue to repurpose the kits as elegant travel accessories or keepsakes, making this partnership with Kevin Wilson especially significant for those seeking authentic Australian artistry.

Qantas’ legacy of championing Indigenous art is long-standing. Since 1994, the Flying Art Series has seen five aircraft adorned with breathtaking Indigenous Australian designs, underlining the airline’s commitment to reconciliation and cultural celebration on a global stage.

Currently, Qantas operates 15 domestic routes within Western Australia and three international connections from Perth to Singapore, London, and Rome. Daily year-round service on the London-Perth route (B787-9 Dreamliner) and Singapore-Perth (Airbus A330) continues, alongside seasonal Dreamliner flights between Perth and Rome. In a recent enhancement, direct service from Melbourne to Learmonth now brings the UNESCO-listed Ningaloo Reef within easy reach for East Coast travelers.
