Qatar Airways partners with Starlink

Qatar Airways, recognized as the world’s largest global airline, has become the pioneer in the Middle East & North Africa by integrating SpaceX’s Starlink satellite connectivity across its aircraft.

This innovative partnership introduces complimentary, ultra-fast internet access onboard, delivering an elevated digital experience for travelers seeking seamless connectivity and entertainment options throughout their journey.

Starting with three Boeing 777-300 aircraft, Qatar Airways has begun equipping its fleet with Starlink’s next-generation, low-latency Wi-Fi. The rollout commenced in late 2024 and is on track to cover all mainline aircraft by the end of 2026, ensuring guests on every route can benefit from uninterrupted, high-speed internet.

Passengers now enjoy free access to Wi-Fi speeds reaching up to 500 Mbps, making it effortless to stream movies, catch live sporting events, or play online games at cruising altitude—mirroring the connectivity they expect at home or in the office.

Starlink, a division of SpaceX founded by Elon Musk, operates one of the world’s largest satellite constellations, bringing robust inflight internet to the skies.
