SWISS unveils its new Business and First Class cabins

Following the trailblazing launch of the Lufthansa Group’s Allegris cabins, SWISS has introduced its own elevated Business and First Class suites under the exclusive “SWISS Senses” program. Building on the popularity of its Premium Economy—first rolled out in 2022—SWISS continues to set the standard for personalized luxury in the skies.

Commencing in 2025, SWISS will progressively refit its long-haul aircraft with these state-of-the-art cabins. The SWISS Senses initiative centers on a thoroughly reimagined premium cabin, designed to deliver a bespoke travel experience for discerning flyers.

“This marks the most ambitious cabin transformation in SWISS’s history,” shares Chief Executive Officer Dieter Vranckx. “As a leader in premium aviation, we are committed to meeting our guests’ growing demand for tailored, high-end experiences. With this exceptional product, we are reaffirming our dedication to innovation and excellence.”

These new SWISS cabins mirror the Allegris First and Business Class suites introduced by Lufthansa, featuring identical seat architecture and privacy suites, but redefined with signature SWISS elegance. SWISS confirmed plans to integrate Allegris seats across its premium cabins late last year.

SWISS First: privacy assured

SWISS First Class now introduces fully enclosed suites, ensuring the utmost privacy with sliding doors, a generously sized personal wardrobe, expansive work and dining spaces, seat heating and cooling, integrated wireless charging, and an immersive widescreen display spanning the suite’s width. Travelers in the middle suites have the option to convert their space into a double suite, perfect for companions seeking an exclusive shared journey. The design palette—featuring warm woods and calm earth tones—creates a tranquil, refined environment. The newly designed First Class lavatory draws inspiration from the iconic Vals spring in Graubünden, featuring a striking slate-black exterior and a refreshing green-hued interior for a spa-like ambiance at 35,000 feet.

SWISS Business: aisle access from every seat

The refreshed SWISS Business Class has been meticulously developed to accommodate diverse traveler preferences. Alongside classic single seats, the configuration now includes innovative double seating for those flying together, as well as private suites with sliding doors for enhanced seclusion. Each Business Class seat is equipped with customizable heating and cooling functions, a personal wireless charging pad, and a sophisticated color scheme of rich claret and deep anthracite, enveloping the cabin in an inviting, boutique-hotel atmosphere.

SWISS Premium Economy:

SWISS Premium Economy remains a cornerstone of the airline’s long-haul offering, acclaimed for its spacious seating and elevated service. As the first carrier in the Lufthansa Group to introduce this next-generation Premium Economy seat, SWISS offers guests a generous 48 cm seat width and nearly one meter of legroom, redefining comfort for mid-cabin travel. This class continues to attract travelers seeking an elevated experience without the full investment of Business Class.
