Virgin Atlantic has partnered with Sapling Spirits to bring sustainable vodka, packaged in lightweight aluminium bottles, to passengers on 38 of its global routes.

Sapling Spirits, a leader in climate-positive distilling, now supplies its signature 5cl aluminium bottle of “Climate Positive” vodka—crafted in London using 100% British-sourced ingredients.

This eco-conscious move provides Upper Class travellers with an environmentally responsible beverage choice, significantly reducing the carrier’s use of single-use glass and plastic in its inflight service.

Sapling’s commitment to sustainability is further demonstrated by its innovative Raspberry & Hibiscus Vodka, which utilizes surplus, visually imperfect raspberries. This spirit remains a highlight in Virgin Atlantic’s Upper Class cocktail program, notably featured in the Raspberry Fizz signature drink.

As part of this collaboration, Virgin Atlantic and Sapling Spirits are on track to plant more than 20,000 trees worldwide by the end of 2025, reinforcing their shared pledge to environmental action and sustainable aviation practices.
