Renowned for its refined Korean hospitality, Asiana Airlines elevates the premium travel experience from its Seoul Incheon hub, connecting passengers to North America, Europe, and Asia. From check-in to arrival, guests are greeted by gracious, discreet service that distinguishes the brand.
As a Star Alliance member, Asiana offers seamless mileage earning and redemption with nearly 25 global partners, including Air Canada, Lufthansa, United, and Swiss. Star Alliance Gold members enjoy priority perks even when flying in Economy. Asiana’s proprietary loyalty program, Asiana Club, continues to reward frequent travelers with tailored benefits.
While the proposed merger with Korean Air (SkyTeam) was announced several years ago, regulatory proceedings mean Asiana remains a distinct Star Alliance carrier in 2025. The integration process continues, but for now, travelers can expect the same high standards and independent branding that have earned Asiana international acclaim.
Airport experience
With all long-haul flights routed through Seoul Incheon, Asiana’s operations are centered on providing a seamless and upscale airport experience. Incheon International Airport consistently ranks among the world’s top airports, recognized for its efficiency and luxury amenities.
Business Class travelers enjoy clearly marked priority lanes for check-in and security, ensuring swift passage to the airside facilities. Once inside, travelers can indulge in a curated selection of duty-free boutiques, gourmet restaurants, and immersive cultural showcases—many complimentary and unique to Korea. Asiana proudly features Incheon’s world-class reputation as part of its premium offering.
Exclusive Business Class lounges deliver tranquility, with self-serve bars, expansive hot and cold buffets, refrigerators stocked with beverages, and high-speed Wi-Fi. Guests will also find reading materials, ergonomic workstations, and relaxing massage chairs. Dedicated napping suites and private showers add to the comfort before boarding.
The main lounge boasts panoramic views of the airfield, providing a vibrant backdrop, while the satellite terminal lounge is more subdued, lacking windows and natural light.
Outside Korea, Asiana partners with leading airline and third-party lounges, ensuring a consistent premium experience. At boarding, a dedicated premium lane and attentive gate staff make the embarkation process efficient and relaxed.

Cabin & Seat
Asiana’s Business Class cabins are designed for tranquility, with a soothing palette and ample natural light. The signature seats vary by aircraft: long-haul fleets such as the Boeing 777-200ER, Airbus A350-900, and A380 feature the Business Smartium suite in a spacious 1-2-1 configuration, granting direct aisle access for every guest.
On these flagship aircraft, the Smartium seats recline fully flat and offer privacy panels, making them ideal for both work and rest. The A330-300, 767-300, and 747-400, mainly flown on regional routes, retain angled lie-flat seats in 2-2-2 or 2-1-2 configurations. The 747-400 upper deck provides a more intimate 2-2 layout but lacks full privacy dividers. Seat maps should be checked in advance, as layouts differ across the fleet.
For solo travelers, window seats with the table on the aisle side maximize privacy and minimize disturbance, while couples may prefer the paired center seats—though these “honeymoon” seats are very close together and may feel cramped if traveling with a stranger, as partitions are limited.
Each seat is outfitted with a plush pillow and a premium duvet, ensuring restful sleep. The footwell in some configurations may feel snug for taller passengers, but overall, the cabin is engineered for comfort and relaxation.
On select A380 flights, passengers can upgrade to Business Suite—the former First Class suites, repurposed for Business Class and featuring sliding doors, expansive 32-inch HD screens, and a companion seat for in-flight dining à deux. Business Suite guests also receive access to Asiana’s exclusive First Class lounge, maintaining a uniquely elevated experience.
Our Businessclass flight search provides comprehensive seat maps, cabin photos, and specifications—including pitch, width, and recline—so you can select the best seat for your journey before booking.

Cuisine
Asiana’s Business Class dining is a highlight, renowned for balancing authentic Korean flavors with expertly crafted Western dishes. Menus are thoughtfully designed and display calorie counts for transparency. Service begins with a signature aperitif and gourmet canapés, setting a sophisticated tone.
Starters and salads follow, presented directly on linen-topped tables for an elegant, restaurant-like ambiance—no plastic trays in sight. Both Western and Korean set menus are available, though mixing courses is not permitted. The Western menu often features freshly baked garlic bread, artisanal olive oil, and on longer sectors, a dedicated soup course—a touch usually reserved for First Class on other airlines.
Mains are plated à la minute in the galley for optimal presentation and flavor. Korean meals arrive with dedicated dishware and chopsticks, and crew provide cultural context and instructions for traditional specialties such as bibimbap and ssambap. Asiana’s partnership with the Institute of Korean Royal Cuisine ensures authenticity and storytelling with every meal.
Desserts are artistically plated, complemented by a curated coffee and tea service or after-dinner liqueurs. Throughout the flight, snacks and light bites are available in the galley or on request. A second meal is served approximately two hours before landing, tailored to the time of day and featuring both hot and cold selections.
Dietary requirements are well accommodated, with special meal options for vegetarian, religious, or medical needs. Child-friendly meals can be pre-ordered for guests under 12, provided requests are made at least 24 hours in advance.

Beverages
Upon boarding, guests are welcomed with a choice of premium Champagne—currently Piper Heidsieck—or still water. The extensive beverage menu features a global wine list, including several varietals of red, white, and dessert wines. One minor drawback: wine glasses are smaller than those used by some rival carriers, requiring more frequent top-ups.
The bar is generously stocked with international beers, a broad range of spirits, liqueurs, and digestifs. Service is attentive, with crew proactively offering refills throughout the meal and upon request. Non-alcoholic options include a selection of juices, sparkling waters, specialty coffees, and both Korean and international teas.
Each Business Class seat is provisioned with a large bottle of water for the duration of the flight, and additional beverages are available at any time by request.
Our Businessclass flight search provides up-to-date information on Champagne and wine lists across premium cabins. If you notice a new addition, please let us know.

Service
Our journeys with Asiana consistently reveal crew members who blend warmth with professionalism. While the service style is understated, attendants are invariably attentive, approachable, and sincerely welcoming. English and Korean are spoken fluently, though additional languages are less common except on select routes.

Entertainment
Each Business Class seat is equipped with a large, high-definition entertainment screen, operable by both touchscreen and remote—a welcome convenience for guests reclining or lying flat. The content selection covers Hollywood blockbusters, Asian cinema, and international music, though short-format television is less extensive than on some competitors.
On A350 aircraft, high-speed Wi-Fi is available for purchase, with flight-long passes offering solid value for business travelers and those wishing to stay connected throughout the journey.
See our Businessclass flight search for detailed information on inflight entertainment and Wi-Fi availability by route and aircraft.

Amenities & Facilities
Business Class travelers receive premium amenity kits stocked with L’Occitane skincare and essentials, along with plush slippers for added in-flight comfort. Restrooms are meticulously maintained, well-supplied with grooming products such as razors, cologne, and mouthwash, reflecting Asiana’s attention to detail.
Families with infants can pre-reserve bassinet-equipped seats. Advance booking is recommended to ensure availability and a smooth journey for all ages.
Short & Medium Haul
On regional routes, Asiana continues to impress with printed menus offering both Western and Korean meal options, complemented by a full bar service. The main distinction is that meals are served on trays rather than as individually plated courses, though linen and silverware maintain a premium feel. Service is streamlined but retains the brand’s signature warmth and efficiency.
Entertainment systems on older aircraft such as the Boeing 767 and A330 are more limited compared to the latest A350 and A380 cabins. On narrowbody jets like the A321, recliner seats are standard, but flight durations are generally brief and comfort remains above regional averages.

Sustainability
Asiana Airlines’ commitment to sustainability is reflected in its ongoing fleet renewal, with a growing focus on fuel-efficient models like the Airbus A350. The carrier has expanded its environmental programs, including enhanced recycling and carbon reduction initiatives, although it continues to work toward matching the sustainability achievements of leading Star Alliance peers in Europe.
Our Businessclass flight search displays CO2 emissions per flight, and our scoring algorithms prioritize airlines operating the most eco-friendly aircraft.
