Emirates Business Class continues to set the gold standard for premium air travel, blending cutting-edge amenities, elegant lounges, and world-class hospitality. In a fiercely competitive Middle Eastern aviation market, Emirates consistently delivers a refined and comfortable journey for discerning travelers.
From regionally influenced gourmet cuisine to attentive, multicultural service, Emirates crafts an experience that is both immersive and seamless. Its award-winning ICE entertainment system is considered the industry benchmark, offering an unrivaled library of content and intuitive controls.
In 2025, Emirates is in the midst of a major fleet-wide Business Class upgrade, introducing 1-2-1 direct aisle access seating on 81 Boeing 777s and 110 Airbus A380s. This retrofit eliminates the unpopular middle seat, ensuring every guest enjoys privacy and ease of movement. The new 777 cabins feature 40 Business Class seats, while the latest A350s, now flying to destinations including Edinburgh, Bologna, and Bahrain, offer 32 advanced Business Class suites on select regional and European routes.
Frequent flyers benefit from the versatile Emirates Skywards loyalty program, which allows seamless earning and redemption across a broad partner network, including Alaska Airlines and Qantas. Although Emirates is not part of a traditional alliance, these partnerships enhance global connectivity and flexibility for premium travelers.
Airport experience
Emirates elevates the pre-flight journey with its signature Chauffeur-drive service, available in over 70 cities worldwide. Guests are whisked to the airport in luxury vehicles—typically Mercedes-Benz or BMW—ensuring a seamless start to the Business Class experience. In select cities, this service extends to arrivals, providing door-to-door convenience for most fare types, subject to availability and terms.
Priority check-in zones at Dubai International and fast-track security lines across the network streamline the airport process. Dubai’s bustling hub, renowned for efficiency, features exclusive security lanes that deliver guests swiftly to the Emirates lounges.
Emirates operates flagship lounges in Dubai and at major global gateways such as Boston, Cairo, JFK, and Sydney. Each lounge showcases lavish buffets with a blend of Middle Eastern and international cuisine, premium bars with curated wine and spirits lists, and barista-made coffee. Dedicated prayer rooms and shower suites are standard, supporting both productivity and relaxation.
Dubai’s premium lounges stand apart, featuring the exclusive Moët & Chandon Champagne bar, offering four Champagnes paired with canapés designed by Michelin-starred chefs. Select flights allow boarding directly from the lounge, maximizing privacy and efficiency for Business Class passengers.
Where dedicated Emirates lounges are unavailable, guests receive access to high-quality partner lounges, maintaining a consistent premium standard before departure.

Cabin & Seat
Emirates’ Business Class cabins are instantly recognizable, featuring opulent wood accents and a sophisticated gold-and-beige palette. The airline’s fleet is comprised exclusively of wide-body Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s, each offering a variety of Business Class seat layouts and finishes.
Complimentary seat selection is included on all Business Class fares except Business Special, where seats can be chosen within 48 hours of departure. The flagship A380s offer a 1-2-1 staggered configuration, granting every passenger direct aisle access and a sense of privacy. Solo travelers gravitate toward window seats, while couples can opt for paired seats in the center section. Some seats are positioned closer to the aisle for easy access, while others provide enhanced seclusion beside the window.
Emirates has undertaken the largest aircraft refurbishment program in commercial aviation, revamping 67 A380s and 53 777s with more than 5,000 new Business Class seats by the end of 2025. The refreshed A380 cabins now feature champagne-hued leather, contemporary light woodgrain, plush new carpets, and ergonomic seat controls for an executive jet ambiance.
Boeing 777 aircraft offer several layouts. The most recent retrofits introduce a 1-2-1 seating arrangement, finally eliminating the middle seat and aligning Emirates with other top-tier carriers. Prior to the rollout, the 2-3-2 configuration meant some guests lacked direct aisle access. Newer B777-200LRs provide a 2-2-2 setup, ensuring no center seats and a fully flat sleeping surface.
Onboard, each Business Class seat transforms into a lie-flat bed between 1.78 and 2 meters (5.8–6.5 feet), with aisle seats slightly shorter than center or window options. A plush pillow and premium duvet await at every seat, ensuring restful long-haul travel. Families may appreciate center-row seating, while solo travelers can maximize privacy by studying the seat map prior to booking.
Power outlets and USB charging are thoughtfully positioned, while privacy dividers allow you to create your own sanctuary when traveling alone. An in-seat personal minibar, stocked with water, juice, and soft drinks, is a signature touch, though beverages are served at ambient temperature—ask your crew for ice if you prefer chilled drinks.
The Businessclass flight search tool features up-to-date images, seat maps, and technical details for all Emirates aircraft, empowering travelers to select their ideal seat and cabin configuration with confidence.

Cuisine
Dining in Emirates Business Class is an event in itself, with a focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients and regionally inspired menus. Meals are presented elegantly on linen-draped tables, with a choice of dishes reflecting the airline’s cosmopolitan network. Signature Middle Eastern favorites, such as the Arabic mezze, are a highlight, while routes to Japan and Korea feature menus tailored to local tastes.
Meals are served on Royal Doulton fine china with custom Robert Welch cutlery, setting a refined tone from the outset. The culinary journey begins with a curated cocktail and a selection of nuts, followed by starters, warm breads (including pita), and a choice of three mains—ranging from beef and poultry to seafood or vegetarian pasta. Each entrée is plated in the galley and delivered directly to your seat. Dessert options include luxurious pastries, fresh fruit, and cheese platters, ensuring a sweet finish to your meal.
Menus vary by flight length: short, medium, and long-haul itineraries each have bespoke offerings. Emirates has expanded its plant-based menu in 2025, now offering a 100% vegan selection with innovative options such as mapo tofu, zucchini tart, pan-seared king oyster mushrooms, and jackfruit biryani, created by internationally acclaimed chefs. Special meal requests—including vegetarian, Halal, and children’s meals—can be pre-ordered for added convenience.
While Emirates does not offer dine-on-demand in Business Class (unlike some competitors), the attentive crew is happy to accommodate alternate meal timings when possible. On longer flights, a snack menu is available between main meals, featuring light bites like sandwiches and salads to keep you satisfied throughout the journey.

Beverages
Guests are greeted with a glass of Champagne, fresh juice, or water before takeoff, setting an indulgent tone for the flight ahead. Beverage menus in Emirates Business Class are thoughtfully curated, featuring a diverse selection of soft drinks, fresh juices, international wines, beers, and premium spirits.
Emirates’ three-decade partnership with Moët Hennessy ensures a rotating selection of LVMH Champagnes. Moët & Chandon is typically served on routes to the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, and Australasia, while Veuve Clicquot is poured on flights to the UK, Europe, and the Americas. Occasional guest appearances by Laurent-Perrier or vintage Champagnes add variety to select routes.
The Emirates Vintage Collection features rare wines aged up to 15 years, including Old and New World reds and whites from renowned vineyards in France, Germany, South Africa, New Zealand, and the USA. Business Class guests can expect at least two red, two white, a port, and Champagne on every flight, with the ability to preview the wine list online prior to travel.
In 2025, Emirates continues to rotate special Champagnes and wines based on route and season, ensuring each flight offers a unique tasting experience. The bar list also includes a robust selection of international beers, top-shelf spirits, liqueurs, and a creative array of mocktails. Coffee and a range of specialty teas are served throughout the journey.
During meal service, attentive crew offer refills from the wine and cocktail menu, and are proactive in ensuring guests’ glasses remain full. Each Business Class seat is stocked with bottled water, and additional beverages can be requested at any time during the flight.
The Businessclass flight search platform provides up-to-date details on Champagne and beverage offerings, and welcomes feedback from travelers for the latest updates.

Service
Emirates’ cabin crew are among the most rigorously trained in the industry, completing extensive courses at the Emirates Aviation College in Dubai. The airline’s international recruitment strategy yields a crew roster representing over 130 nationalities and more than 60 languages, ensuring personalized service for a global clientele. At the start of each flight, the purser introduces the multilingual team, underscoring the carrier’s cosmopolitan ethos.
Throughout our journeys, we’ve found the Business Class service to be consistently polished and enthusiastic, though the scale of Emirates’ wide-body fleet sometimes limits the level of individual attention compared to boutique Middle Eastern competitors. Meals are efficiently delivered via service carts, which allows for prompt service across a large cabin, but can feel less bespoke than tray-by-tray galley service offered by some rivals.
Despite the high passenger-to-crew ratio, Emirates’ team is quick to accommodate requests, and maintains an impressive standard of professionalism and warmth, reflecting the airline’s commitment to luxury hospitality.

Entertainment
Emirates’ ICE in-flight entertainment system is a standout feature, offering passengers a best-in-class digital experience. Every Business Class seat is equipped with a large, high-definition screen, intuitive remote, and now, Bluetooth headphone pairing for personal devices. The ICE library boasts more than 4,500 channels, including the latest films, complete TV box sets, live sports, and global music playlists.
Programming is expertly curated to suit Emirates’ diverse clientele, with a strong focus on newly released Hollywood titles, international cinema, and children’s entertainment. Noise-cancelling headphones further elevate the experience, while kids receive special attention and gifts to keep them engaged throughout the flight.
Wi-Fi connectivity is available on all Emirates aircraft, with Skywards members enjoying complimentary messaging (including WhatsApp, Messenger, and iMessage). Tiered paid plans are available for those requiring full internet access. Passengers can also track flight progress via external cameras and the detailed inflight airshow, offering insights into journey time, local weather, and time zones.
During boarding and in the A380 onboard lounge, international newspapers and magazines are available, along with the Open Skies inflight magazine at each seat. The Businessclass flight search provides comprehensive entertainment and Wi-Fi information for all Emirates flights.

Amenities & Facilities
Business Class travelers on Emirates are treated to thoughtfully curated amenity kits, with two bag styles for women—either a pouch or a classic toiletry silhouette—crafted in eco-leather and featuring the signature BVLGARI OMNIA CORAL scent. This fragrance, designed by master perfumer Alberto Morillas, opens with fresh bergamot and goji berry, complemented by floral and fruity heart notes and a cedarwood finish. Each kit includes Omnia Coral face emulsion, body lotion, and lip balm, alongside travel essentials such as a dental kit, earplugs, tissues, a mirror, deodorant, and a foldable hairbrush with an elastic tie.
Men’s kits feature two contemporary chestnut brown bags with cream accents, containing BVLGARI MAN IN BLACK Eau de Parfum and matching body care items. Emirates’ partnership with BVLGARI now spans 16 amenity kit editions, offering a touch of Italian luxury for every premium guest.
In 2025, Emirates has introduced exclusive fragrances created in collaboration with Irish luxury brand VOYA, available only in First and Business Class cabins. The men’s scent combines bergamot, pepper, and white florals, while the women’s features notes of honeysuckle, neroli, and citrus—an aviation first for organic fragrance partnerships.
Hot towels are distributed before meals and prior to landing, adding a refreshing ritual to each flight. Families traveling with infants benefit from pre-reserved bassinets on all aircraft, ensuring a smooth journey for the youngest flyers.
The iconic A380 onboard lounge remains a highlight, offering a full-service bar and a social space to mingle at 40,000 feet. The B777-200LRs feature a walk-up snack bar, though it is more limited compared to the A380’s expansive lounge. For uninterrupted sleep, we recommend choosing seats away from the lounge area to avoid potential noise from social gatherings.

Short & Medium Haul
Emirates’ regional flights within the Middle East and beyond maintain the airline’s high standards, with full meal and beverage service—even on journeys under two hours. Since Emirates operates only wide-body aircraft, all flights, regardless of length, feature lie-flat Business Class seats, allowing travelers to arrive refreshed after a short hop.
Shorter flights typically offer a streamlined single-tray meal service, but the full bar—including Champagne—is always available. This consistency ensures that every Emirates Business Class guest enjoys a premium experience, whether flying across the Gulf or embarking on a transcontinental journey.

Sustainability
Emirates has invested substantially in sustainable practices across its operations. Its economy class blankets are crafted from recycled PET bottles, and flight operations are optimized for maximum fuel efficiency both on the ground and in the air to minimize emissions.
The airline serves over 110 million meals each year, sourcing ingredients locally whenever feasible. Emirates Flight Catering’s 330,000-square-foot vertical farm in Dubai produces 3,000 kilograms of leafy greens daily using 95% less water than conventional agriculture—an industry-leading approach to sustainable catering.
Aircraft cleaning processes employ a water-saving “drywash” technique, conserving thousands of liters per cleaning. Regular engine washes further improve aircraft efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
Emirates’ Engine Maintenance Centre is powered in part by a 1-megawatt solar array, generating over 1,800 megawatt-hours annually and cutting carbon emissions by approximately 800 tonnes each year.
The Emirates Flight Training Academy at Dubai World Central provides advanced pilot training, supporting gender diversity in aviation and nurturing the next generation of Emirati aviators.
Environmental stewardship extends to the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, a 225-square-kilometer expanse dedicated to safeguarding local flora and fauna. Emirates also supports a specialist conservation team of ecologists and wildlife experts.
In Australia, Emirates owns and manages the 1,600-hectare Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley—a pioneer in luxury eco-resorts and the world’s first carboNZero©™ certified hotel.
