The oneworld alliance has elevated the premium airport experience at Amsterdam Schiphol by unveiling its first branded European lounge—a sophisticated sanctuary tailored for discerning international travelers. Following the alliance’s recent expansion into Seoul’s Incheon International Airport with its inaugural flagship lounge, this Amsterdam outpost demonstrates oneworld’s commitment to world-class hospitality and seamless global connectivity.
Launched in celebration of oneworld’s 25th anniversary, the new space—created in collaboration with ASPIRE, the lounge division of Swissport—encompasses 473 square meters in the non-Schengen departures zone. The lounge’s contemporary design combines elegant seating arrangements, abundant natural light, and a tranquil atmosphere, providing a serene escape for guests to dine, relax, and work before departure.
Amsterdam’s unique character is woven into the lounge’s interior: custom lighting fixtures echo the iconic round lamps of the city’s historic canal bridges, while the entrance features gentle curves inspired by local architecture. Playful details, such as whimsical bird silhouettes above the bar—including a cheeky figure blowing bubble gum—add an element of charm and local flair.
Positioned within a convenient 10-minute stroll from the gates of all oneworld member airlines, the lounge serves eligible passengers traveling on American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Iberia, Qatar Airways, Royal Air Maroc, and Royal Jordanian. This exclusive retreat is accessible to oneworld Emerald and Sapphire status holders, as well as First and Business Class ticket holders on non-Schengen flights. Collectively, these carriers offer more than 200 weekly departures from Amsterdam, linking the Dutch capital to over 900 international destinations.
Open daily between 5:30am and 10:00pm, the lounge welcomes guests seeking a refined, peaceful environment to begin their journey. The facility is available to oneworld elite tier members and premium cabin travelers departing on eligible flights outside the Schengen zone at Schiphol.
The oneworld alliance unites 13 leading carriers—Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Royal Air Maroc, Royal Jordanian, and SriLankan Airlines—alongside more than 20 affiliate partners. Fiji Airways continues as a oneworld connect partner, and Oman Air is expected to join as the 14th full member airline in 2025, further expanding the alliance’s global reach.
