According to recent industry reports, Aer Lingus now features lie-flat business class seats on its state-of-the-art Airbus A321LR fleet, setting a new benchmark for comfort on intra-European flights.
While these next-generation aircraft primarily operate transatlantic services, Aer Lingus has strategically deployed up to eight A321LRs on select European routes during their layovers in Dublin. This move provides premium travelers with a rare opportunity to enjoy long-haul-level amenities—including full-flat beds—on popular routes between Dublin and major cities such as London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Barcelona.
- “With 15 transatlantic arrivals scheduled in Dublin before sunrise each day, we maximize fleet utilization by continuing these aircraft onward to key European destinations,” shares Aer Lingus CEO Stephen Kavanagh. “Our A321LRs operating within Europe now offer a dedicated business cabin equipped with fully lie-flat seating, transforming the short-haul premium experience,” Kavanagh confirms.
