Alitalia has launched its signature Casa Alitalia lounges at Rome Fiumicino and Milan Malpensa, setting a new benchmark for airport hospitality in Italy.
These flagship lounges are inspired by the essence of Italian living and have been crafted to evoke the warmth and exclusivity of a private Italian residence. Every element, from the hand-selected Carrara marble to the bespoke lighting and curated artworks, immerses guests in the refined spirit of Italian culture.
A standout feature is the open kitchen, where expert chefs prepare fresh pasta and gourmet pizzas in real time, twice daily. Guests can also explore a curated buffet and a full-service bar, sampling premium Italian wines and classic aperitifs in an elegant atmosphere.
Additional amenities include private VIP and business suites, a tranquil library, dedicated prayer rooms, luxurious shower facilities, and fast, complimentary Wi-Fi throughout.
The Casa Alitalia lounge at Rome Fiumicino occupies the former “Giotto” lounge space in Boarding Area G. Spanning approximately 800 square metres, it provides over 115 plush seats for discerning travelers.
At Milan Malpensa, Casa Alitalia is situated in the Satellite Nord boarding area, offering 500 square metres and seating for more than 90 guests. Notably, guests here benefit from direct boarding access via a private air jetty, enhancing the seamless travel experience.
During the unveiling, Alitalia’s CEO Cramer Ball commented: “Casa Alitalia is our showcase for Italian sophistication and hospitality—a tranquil, inviting environment where every guest receives meticulous attention and feels truly at home.”
He added, “These lounges represent a pivotal advancement in our ongoing strategy to elevate both ground and in-flight services. Our ambition is to be recognized as Europe’s premier airline, and this begins with delivering world-class service at every stage of the journey.”
Casa Alitalia welcomes Freccia Alata Plus and Freccia Alata loyalty members, SkyTeam Elite Plus travelers, Business Class passengers on Alitalia-operated flights, and Alitalia American Express Platinum cardholders.
For other guests, single-entry access can be purchased for €30, available through the airline’s website or at the airport.
Alitalia has also recently completed modern upgrades at its lounges in Venice, Catania, Milan Linate, and the former “Dolce Vita” lounge in Terminal 1 at Rome Fiumicino, ensuring a consistently elevated experience across its Italian network.
