IconSiam, the iconic mixed-use megaproject redefining Bangkok’s riverfront, has announced an additional investment of US$110 million to further expand its already vast footprint along the Chao Phraya River.
Since its highly anticipated debut, IconSiam has consistently been recognized as a transformative destination—one that blends luxury retail, fine dining, art, and residential living in a single, world-class location. The latest expansion, set on a newly acquired 10,000m² parcel adjacent to the original 750,000m² site, demonstrates IconSiam’s ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence in the heart of Bangkok.
This expansion follows a new 30-year lease on a prime plot along Charoen Nakhon Road, directly opposite IconSiam’s main complex. The additional space will focus on curated retail, attracting over 100 leading international brands across fashion, gastronomy, and entertainment. According to Chadatip Chutrakul, Director of IconSiam Co, “The overwhelming interest from global brands underlines the strength of Thailand’s luxury retail sector and cements Bangkok’s reputation as a shopping capital.”
IconSiam’s masterplan now boasts twin luxury residential towers—one operated under the esteemed Mandarin Oriental brand—and two vast shopping pavilions featuring more than 500 retailers and 100 culinary venues, offering everything from Michelin-starred cuisine to innovative fusion concepts.
Additional highlights include an expansive rooftop garden with panoramic river views for exclusive al fresco dining, an 8,000m² showcase dedicated to Thai artisanal brands, a state-of-the-art 3,000-seat auditorium for international events, a comprehensive museum complex, riverside parkland, and a spectacular 400-meter multimedia water, fire, and sound installation—one of the most technologically advanced in Asia.
“IconSiam is setting new benchmarks for integrated urban development in Thailand, combining never-before-seen attractions and elevating Bangkok’s global profile. We’re proud to create a destination that welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors daily, from both Thailand and around the world,” says Ms. Chutrakul.
With the latest expansion now fully operational as of 2025, IconSiam stands alongside other renowned riverside developments such as Asiatique, continually enhancing Bangkok’s dynamic waterfront and reinforcing its status as Southeast Asia’s premier lifestyle destination.
