Banyan Tree Seychelles Upgrades Villas And Dining In Time For British Airways New Direct Service

To mark the introduction of British Airways’ direct flights to the Seychelles, the legendary

Banyan Tree Seychelles

has unveiled a comprehensive villa transformation and innovative dining concepts for discerning travelers.

Set along the powdery sands of Intendance Bay, Banyan Tree Seychelles features 60 exclusive Creole-inspired pool villas, each offering sweeping vistas of the Indian Ocean. These secluded havens, popular among honeymooners and luxury seekers, have recently seen a significant upgrade.

Twenty-five percent of the villas now showcase a refreshed design, featuring vibrant island palettes—think aquamarine blues, sun-kissed oranges, and lush yellows—that echo the Seychelles’ natural beauty. Each villa includes a private pool enveloped by palms and tropical flora, ensuring ultimate privacy and immersion in the island’s ambiance.

The resort has also debuted Moutya, an interactive open-air dining venue that fully immerses guests in Seychelles’ rich culinary heritage. At Moutya, guests can join live cooking sessions and learn traditional techniques using produce and herbs cultivated on the property.

Signature dishes on offer include golden eggplant beignets, fragrant coconut fish curry, and decadent banana flambé with locally distilled coconut rum—all highlighting the freshest local ingredients.

Additionally, Banyan Tree Seychelles now presents 33 1/3, an intimate destination dining experience for couples or small groups (up to six guests), named in homage to George Harrison, who once owned the land where the resort now stands. This bespoke experience promises a curated menu and personalized service in a private setting.

British Airways’ direct service from London Heathrow Terminal 5 to the Seychelles operates twice weekly from March through October, utilizing the state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Flights depart Wednesdays and Saturdays, offering a seamless journey of approximately 10 hours—significantly reducing travel time versus previous routes with stopovers in Doha.

Previously, BA’s Seychelles flights included a layover in Qatar, extending the journey to around 13 hours. The new nonstop service now offers a more efficient and comfortable option for UK travelers seeking paradise.
