Belmond's The Cadogan To Reopen This Year

Belmond, the esteemed name in luxury hospitality, has officially reopened its legendary Chelsea address,

The Cadogan

, ushering in a new chapter for this iconic London landmark.

Following an extensive multi-million-dollar transformation, the historic Belmond Cadogan Hotel on Sloane Street welcomes discerning travelers once again. The restoration preserves the Queen Anne-style grandeur of the 1887 original, while introducing sophisticated modern amenities and understated elegance expected of a Belmond flagship.

This reimagining, crafted by the acclaimed GA Design International, pays homage to the building’s storied past. The interiors reflect a tapestry of influences—from the botanist Sir Hans Sloane to British royalty, celebrated artists, and the notorious tales of Oscar Wilde and Lillie Langtry—creating a sense of place that is both authentic and enchanting.

With a curated collection of just 54 individually designed rooms and suites, the Belmond Cadogan offers an exclusive, residential ambiance in the heart of London. Guests enjoy privileged access to a secluded private garden, providing a serene oasis during the warmer months. In the winter, the hotel’s inviting fireplaces and intimate lounges offer a refined sanctuary from the city’s bustle.

Originally slated to reopen several years ago, The Cadogan’s grand return in 2025 sets a new benchmark for luxury in London hospitality.

This unveiling forms part of Belmond’s ongoing global expansion, with recent highlights including the revitalized Belmond Casa de Sierra Nevada in Mexico and the celebrated reopening of Belmond Cap Juluca in Anguilla.
