Brussels Airlines has redefined transcontinental travel by introducing a dedicated Premium Economy class, bridging the gap between Economy and Business for discerning travelers.
Since its launch, guests flying to Africa, the United States, or Canada aboard Brussels Airlines’ A330 fleet have enjoyed a three-cabin configuration, offering more flexibility and comfort on long-haul routes. To celebrate this innovation, the airline welcomed over 20,000 passengers with complimentary upgrades to Premium Economy during the debut summer season.
Located in the first four rows of the main cabin, Premium Economy seats feature generous legroom and a deeper recline—20 degrees compared to the standard 8 degrees in Economy—delivering a noticeably more relaxing inflight experience. Travelers are greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne before dining, a curated amenity kit, plush hot towels, premium linen pillows, and an exclusive Neuhaus Belgian chocolate gift box.
For those in Economy, upgrades to Premium Economy are available for €120 (£92) per one-way sector, subject to availability.
“We continue to see strong demand for an elevated experience that sits between Business and Economy Class,” shared Lars Redeligx, Chief Commercial Officer of Brussels Airlines. “Our Premium Economy offers enhanced space, comfort, and thoughtful touches at an appealing price point. Building on the success of our short-haul commercial strategy, we are proud to introduce this next-generation product on our intercontinental network. Further enhancements are planned for the future.”
Additionally, Brussels Airlines has refreshed its entire A330 Economy Class seating, addressing feedback on ergonomics by installing redesigned backrests and headrests for improved support and comfort, ensuring a more restful journey for all guests.
