In 2025, Cathay Pacific is redefining its long-haul Business Class dining, introducing an innovative culinary program that places emphasis on passenger choice, personalization, and wellness. The new approach allows travelers to tailor their inflight dining—selecting the number of courses and portion sizes that best suit their journey.
Revealed at an exclusive event in Toulouse during the delivery of the airline’s latest Airbus A350-1000, the refreshed dining service features an à la carte menu concept. Guests can choose from up to three starters and as many as six main courses, or opt for lighter "supper plates" for a more flexible meal. For those seeking a streamlined experience, it's possible to enjoy fewer courses or customize the meal to personal taste.
The updated menu showcases a focus on health-conscious and lighter fare, reflecting industry trends and passenger demand. While the final menu selections continue to evolve, highlights under consideration include grilled lamb rack paired with mint jus, fragrant lobster bisque rice, signature Asian noodle bowls, and classic char siu barbecue pork. Each dish is crafted to reflect Cathay Pacific’s culinary heritage and commitment to quality ingredients.
Breakfast service in Business Class has also been reinvented. The airline now offers a "room service" breakfast ordering system, where guests fill out a personalized card indicating their preferences. Choices range from a comprehensive hot breakfast to an efficient "express" selection of artisan breads, pastries, and specialty coffees, catering to both early risers and those wishing to maximize rest.
This curated dining transformation is designed to enhance the inflight experience, streamlining service while maintaining luxury standards and operational efficiency.
"Our guests told us they value exceptional food, meaningful engagement with our crew, personalized dining options, and greater autonomy in shaping their inflight meals,” shares Kinto Chan, Cathay Pacific’s General Manager of Customer Experience. “These enhancements are a direct response to that feedback, ensuring our Business Class offering remains among the world’s finest."
