Cathay Pacific has officially reopened its sophisticated First and Business Class Lounge at London Heathrow Terminal 3, following an extensive transformation.
The lounge, now welcoming guests after a meticulous redesign, boasts distinct First and Business Class zones, elevated culinary experiences, a signature cocktail bar, and eight private shower rooms.
Inspired by the carrier’s “Life Well Travelled” philosophy, the space was curated by the acclaimed creative team at Studioilse, under the direction of Ilse Crawford. The design artfully blends contemporary Asian influences—reminiscent of Cathay’s flagship Hong Kong lounges—with London’s cosmopolitan flair.
Spanning 1,200 square metres—an impressive 30% expansion over the previous footprint—the lounge features sweeping floor-to-ceiling windows that frame panoramic views of Heathrow’s active apron and northern runway. The tranquil atmosphere and array of amenities create a serene sanctuary for discerning travellers.
Within the First Class enclave, guests are invited to dine à la carte at The Dining Room, enjoying restaurant-style service and gourmet dishes freshly crafted to order. The Pantry offers a rotating selection of artisanal snacks and light bites, perfect for those seeking a quick, high-quality refreshment.
The Business Class section showcases Cathay Pacific’s iconic Noodle Bar, alongside The Food Hall serving an international menu that includes classic British favourites. A full-service bar presents an expertly curated beverage list, including premium wines and bespoke cocktails.
Additional highlights include custom-designed Solo Chairs for privacy, eight luxurious shower suites, and The Bureau—a discreet workspace tailored for productivity and comfort.
Access to the Heathrow lounge is reserved for First and Business Class ticket holders, Marco Polo Club Silver members and above, as well as oneworld Sapphire and Emerald tier guests. The lounge operates from 5:30am Monday through Saturday, and 7:30am to 10:30pm on Sundays, accommodating early departures and late-night flights alike.
This revitalization at Heathrow continues Cathay Pacific’s global lounge enhancement strategy, following recent unveilings in Bangkok, Haneda (Tokyo), Manila, Taipei, and Vancouver, reaffirming the airline’s commitment to world-class ground experiences.
