Sir Winston Churchill's Favourite Port Now Served On British Airways Business Class

British Airways now features Graham’s Six Grapes, the legendary port once favored by Sir Winston Churchill, as an exclusive offering in its Club World business class cabins.

As part of British Airways’ ongoing commitment to enhancing luxury inflight experiences, Club World travelers can now savor Graham’s Six Grapes—a rich, historic port famously served by Churchill himself at Chartwell House. This addition is part of the airline’s continuous investment in premium service and culinary excellence at altitude.

Renowned for its deep, aromatic notes of ripe plum and cherry, this iconic port is expertly paired with British Airways’ refined dessert and cheese selection. Expect to enjoy it alongside indulgent options such as the signature roasted white chocolate and hazelnut tart, as well as a curated cheese board offering aged cheddar and creamy Camembert, complemented by spiced mulled apple jelly.

British Airways’ Head of Culinary, Colin Talbot, shared: “Port remains a quintessential favorite among our Club World guests—last year, over 41,000 bottles were enjoyed on board. Graham’s Six Grapes was chosen for its robust structure and lingering finish, which hold beautifully even at cruising altitude, making it a perfect companion to our elevated dessert and cheese offerings.”

In addition to this curated wine program, British Airways has rolled out a refined, restaurant-inspired dining service in Club World. Guests can now select from a range of freshly prepared starters and desserts, presented on elegant tableware by attentive crew using display trolleys—bringing a bespoke touch to every meal.

This enhanced culinary journey is a highlight of British Airways’ £400 million investment in premium cabins. The initiative includes upgrades in catering, sleep amenities, and the progressive rollout of next-generation Club Suite seating across the fleet.

On the ground, Heathrow’s First Wing now provides seamless check-in, private security, and direct lounge access for eligible passengers, while Club Lounges worldwide are being redesigned for comfort and style. The Club Europe experience has been extended to domestic UK routes, and the airline’s entire long-haul and short-haul fleet now features the latest high-speed Wi-Fi, ensuring travelers stay connected throughout their journey.
