Delta Airlines Offers Free WhatsApp And Facebook Messenger

Delta Air Lines, one of the leading carriers in the United States, now offers complimentary in-flight messaging, enabling travelers to maintain real-time connections with loved ones and business associates via WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and iMessage.

This complimentary service, which debuted across Delta's fleet several years ago, continues to be available on all Gogo-equipped aircraft featuring two or more cabin classes. Passengers can seamlessly access messaging functions by connecting to Delta’s onboard Wi-Fi and navigating to the Delta Wi-Fi portal at airborne.gogoinflight.com during their journey.

In preparation for launching this amenity, Delta conducted research among UK travelers to better understand common in-flight anxieties, such as forgetting to switch off household appliances or activate out-of-office email responses. These insights helped shape the airline’s commitment to keeping passengers reassured and connected throughout their flight.

According to Delta, enabling free messaging at 30,000 feet enhances the overall travel experience, providing both peace of mind and greater enjoyment for every guest on board.
