Emirates Cabin Crew enriches First Class menu with special creation

Emirates has raised the bar in luxury in-flight dining by introducing 'Tofu Royale,' an exquisite Korean dish crafted by Jeeye Kang, a distinguished member of its cabin crew. Kang, celebrated as the airline’s top culinary talent, now sees her signature creation featured in the First Class menu for select months in 2025 on the Dubai-Seoul route.

In celebration of the Emirates Food Channel on the award-winning ICE entertainment system, the airline hosted a culinary competition, inviting team members to present their most innovative recipes and share the cultural narratives that inspire their cooking. Kang’s entry stood out for its authentic storytelling and refined execution, reflecting both her heritage and her professional expertise.

'Tofu Royale' is a tribute to Korea’s rich gastronomic legacy, offering First Class guests an exclusive taste of history. Kang shares, “Participating in this contest allowed me to promote the flavors of my homeland and demonstrate my dedication to culinary excellence. Having my dish selected by the judging panel is an incredible honor. This recipe, originally reserved for Joseon dynasty royalty, carries deep personal significance—it was a highlight at my family gatherings, a tradition passed down from my grandmother. Learning of its regal origins inspired me to name it 'Tofu Royale.'”
