Emirates Unveils “Game Changing” New  B777 Cabins - Including Fully Enclosed Private Suites

At a global press event in Dubai, Emirates revealed its highly anticipated next-generation Boeing 777 cabins. Every cabin class—Economy, Business, and First—has received a significant transformation, but it was the ultra-private First Class suites that stole the spotlight with their innovative design and exclusive features.

First Class: Unparalleled Privacy in Fully Enclosed Suites

Emirates has introduced floor-to-ceiling sliding doors in its First Class suites, ensuring total seclusion for each guest. Drawing inspiration from the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the suite's refined aesthetics and advanced amenities have set a new industry benchmark since their debut, arriving shortly after Singapore Airlines’ revamped A380 First Class suites.

While many airlines have scaled back or eliminated first class offerings, Emirates continues to invest in luxury. Each new Boeing 777 First Class suite provides a spacious 3.7 square metres (approximately 40 square feet) of personal real estate.

The interior palette features understated tones of silver, cream, and champagne, creating a sophisticated yet airy ambiance. A stylized Ghaf tree motif—honoring the United Arab Emirates’ national tree—graces the cabin, reflecting both cultural and environmental heritage.

Developed in partnership with Boeing, Rockwell Collins, Panasonic, the Jacques Pierre Jean Design studio, and Teague, the suites are arranged in a 1-1-1 configuration. Middle suites feature Emirates’ pioneering virtual windows, delivering real-time views for guests seated away from the fuselage. Window-side suites are equipped with high-quality binoculars, inviting passengers to enjoy panoramic sky vistas.

The leather seat transforms into a full-flat bed and features a NASA-inspired “zero-gravity” position, designed to enhance comfort and create a sensation of weightlessness during rest.

Dining and service have been elevated with a video call function, allowing guests to request food and beverages without leaving their suite or opening the door. Orders are discreetly delivered via a dedicated service hatch, ensuring uninterrupted privacy.

Signature amenities from previous suites have been enhanced, including a personal mini-bar, wireless seat controls, and the acclaimed ICE entertainment system. Guests enjoy more than 5,000 channels of on-demand content—now streamed on a 32-inch Full HD screen—and can project media from personal devices. The audio experience is further refined with bespoke Bowers & Wilkins E1 noise-cancelling headphones, crafted exclusively for Emirates.

Each suite is equipped with a curated “inspiration kit” containing a leather-bound journal and pen, premium Byredo skincare products, Hydra Active moisturizing sleepwear, and Bulgari amenity kits, available in four distinct styles for both men and women.

Thoughtfully designed storage solutions include a large overhead compartment and a full-length wardrobe for garments.

Since their introduction, Emirates’ Boeing 777 First Class suites have debuted on routes from Dubai to Brussels and Geneva, with subsequent expansion to select long-haul destinations and the latest Airbus A380 deliveries. The airline continues to refresh these cabins in 2025, maintaining its leadership in luxury aviation.

In a nod to the automotive inspiration, Emirates enlisted Jeremy Clarkson as the ambassador for its promotional campaign. Emirates President Sir Tim Clark commented on the collaboration, noting Clarkson’s wide appeal and memorable presence in the campaign’s global rollout.

Business Class: Sport-Inspired Comfort and Technology

Emirates’ updated Business Class on the Boeing 777 draws heavily from the design cues of high-end sports cars, evident in the diamond-stitched leather upholstery, contoured headrests, and streamlined silhouette.

Each seat boasts a generous 72-inch pitch and reclines into a fully flat bed, ensuring restful sleep on long-haul journeys. Passengers benefit from intuitive touchscreen controls for both seating and entertainment, multiple lighting settings, privacy dividers, dedicated shoe storage, a footrest, and a personal mini-bar.

Looking ahead, Emirates has confirmed that its forthcoming Boeing 777X fleet will feature a next-generation Business Class seat, closely modeled on the airline’s acclaimed A380 upper deck design. This evolution promises enhanced privacy, direct aisle access, and refined finishes for the discerning traveler.

Economy Class: Enhanced Ergonomics and Style

The refreshed Economy Class cabin showcases a soothing palette of greys and blues, creating a tranquil environment. Each ergonomically engineered seat features a full-leather headrest with adjustable side panels and vertical movement, providing superior support and comfort for long journeys.
