Emirates to launch second daily A380 service to Birmingham

Emirates is elevating its UK network by introducing a second daily Airbus A380 service between Dubai and Birmingham, commencing 29th October 2017.

Replacing the Boeing 777 on flight EK39/40, Emirates now offers exclusively A380-operated flights between Dubai and Birmingham, providing travelers with unparalleled comfort and capacity. This strategic move positions Birmingham as one of the select UK airports to enjoy twice-daily A380 departures, catering to growing demand for premium and spacious air travel.

With the additional A380 rotation, Emirates boosts daily seat availability on the route by 615, enabling more passengers to experience the airline's renowned double-decker aircraft. This enhancement comes in response to consistently strong passenger numbers and the popularity of the A380's elevated onboard experience.

The A380s serving Birmingham are configured in a two-class layout, offering 58 fully lie-flat Business Class seats and 557 ergonomically designed Economy seats. Passengers in both cabins enjoy access to Emirates’ signature Onboard Lounge, a social hub at 40,000 feet.

Flight EK39 departs Dubai at 07:25, touching down in Birmingham at 11:25. The return, EK40, leaves Birmingham at 13:30, arriving in Dubai at 00:35 the following day, providing optimal connectivity for both business and leisure travelers.

Emirates has steadily expanded its global footprint, launching routes in recent years to destinations such as Cebu, Clark, Yinchuan, Zhengzhou, Yangon, Hanoi, and Phnom Penh. The airline’s commitment to network growth ensures seamless connections from Birmingham to Asia, Australasia, and beyond via Dubai.

Since commencing Birmingham operations on 18th December 2000, Emirates has transported over 5.2 million passengers between the UAE and the heart of the UK, cementing its role as a preferred carrier for Midlands travelers seeking luxury and reliability.
