Emirates’ upgraded onboard lounge takes to the skies

Emirates continues to elevate the luxury travel experience by introducing its refreshed onboard lounge and bar on the flagship Airbus A380, now available on the Kuala Lumpur route. This sophisticated social space, inspired by the ambiance of modern superyachts, is part of a fleet-wide retrofit that brings the airline’s celebrated lounge concept into a new era.

Since debuting in 2008, the Emirates A380 lounge has been a hallmark for First and Business Class travelers seeking an exclusive inflight gathering place. The 2025 redesign amplifies this legacy with refined interiors, enhanced lighting, and a more intimate seating arrangement, all crafted to foster meaningful connections at 40,000 feet.

The latest iteration draws inspiration from luxury marine design, employing elegant materials and subtle lighting to create a tranquil yet vibrant environment. The lounge now comfortably hosts up to 26 guests, offering an inviting setting for networking, relaxation, or celebration.

Guests enjoy a curated selection of global wines at the attended bar, with signature champagnes—such as Moët & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot—consistently featured. The beverage program is tailored to each route, ensuring a sense of place and exclusivity on every journey.

Over 6,000 Emirates crew members are certified mixologists, expertly preparing up to 14 craft cocktails, including the airline’s renowned Bloody Mary and the refreshing non-alcoholic Apple Spritzer. Premium spirits like Hennessy XO Cognac and Chivas Regal 18-Year-Old Scotch are available, complemented by an array of gourmet canapés, from artisanal smoked salmon bagels to freshly prepared fruit skewers.

For those preferring non-alcoholic options, the menu features fresh juices, Illy espresso beverages, and an extensive selection of Dilmah teas. Passengers can also stay informed with a 55-inch high-definition television, streaming the latest international news and live events directly to the lounge.

As of 2025, Emirates’ A380s serve over 50 destinations across six continents, with recent additions to the network including Osaka, Mexico City, and Auckland, further cementing the airline’s commitment to delivering world-class service on a truly global scale.
