Emirates has reached an extraordinary landmark with the delivery of its 100th Airbus A380, an event commemorated by an exclusive ceremony at the Airbus Delivery Centre in Hamburg.
The celebration was led by Emirates’ Chairman and Chief Executive, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, accompanied by a distinguished roster of guests, including Tom Enders, the CEO of Airbus, and other industry leaders.
During his keynote address, Sheikh Ahmed emphasized, “This achievement stands as a testament to the close partnership between Emirates, Airbus, and all stakeholders involved in the A380’s journey. The A380 has transformed the landscape of commercial aviation—driving innovation, sustaining thousands of skilled jobs worldwide, and advancing standards in everything from airport infrastructure to inflight service and cabin design.”
He continued, “For our guests, the A380 has set a new benchmark in travel comfort and luxury. Its engineering marvel is matched by its quiet, efficient operation. At Emirates, we have maximized the aircraft’s potential to deliver signature experiences—our flight crews prefer its performance, and travelers consistently choose it for its spacious, refined environment.”
Featuring advanced Rolls-Royce engines, Emirates’ 100th A380 boasts a refined three-class configuration: 14 First Class Private Suites, 76 lie-flat Business Class seats, and 426 Economy seats. The aircraft is equipped with Emirates’ latest Onboard Lounge, recently redesigned to elevate the social experience at 40,000 feet. The milestone jet was showcased at the Dubai Airshow and has since joined the airline’s global network, continuing to set the standard for luxury air travel in 2025.
