Etihad Airways and Panasonic Avionics introduce new wellness solution

Etihad Airways has partnered with Panasonic Avionics Corporation to pioneer next-generation wellness technology, setting a new standard for luxury air travel.

Through this exclusive collaboration, Etihad is the first global carrier to introduce Panasonic’s cutting-edge Jet Lag Adviser—a digital wellness tool seamlessly integrated into the Etihad mobile app for all passengers.

Jet lag remains one of the most significant obstacles for international travelers, especially on ultra-long-haul routes. The Jet Lag Adviser leverages advanced artificial intelligence to analyze personalized data—such as chronotype, sleep-wake cycles, physical profile, journey details, and flight itineraries—to deliver bespoke recommendations designed to minimize jet lag symptoms.

As Robin Kamark, Chief Commercial Officer of Etihad Aviation Group, explains: “Delivering an unparalleled guest experience is at the heart of Etihad’s ethos. Our alliance with Panasonic harnesses AI-driven wellness, giving travelers tailored guidance to arrive refreshed. The Jet Lag Adviser marks the beginning of a series of digital health innovations we are developing together.”

Travelers benefit from both general route-specific and individualized ‘jet lag impact scores,’ offering insight into the expected intensity of jet lag for their journey and their unique profile. The personalized program encompasses pre-departure, in-flight, and post-arrival phases, presenting a curated timeline of expert tips—ranging from strategic sleep and light exposure to optimal hydration, exercise, and dietary suggestions.

Throughout every stage of their trip, the Jet Lag Adviser proactively delivers timely push notifications via the app, guiding guests with actionable wellness strategies. By adhering to these data-driven recommendations, travelers can maximize energy and fully enjoy their destination from the moment they land.
