Finnair Reveals New Nordic-Themed Business Class

Finnair has transformed its Business Class with a sophisticated Nordic aesthetic and a modernized service philosophy, first introduced in February 2018 and now fully integrated across its long-haul fleet.

This evolution features exclusive Marimekko patterns celebrating Scandinavian heritage, alongside a reimagined in-flight experience that empowers Business Class travelers to tailor their culinary journey. Guests now enjoy a broad selection of gourmet dishes and premium wines, available à la carte or at any preferred moment during the flight.

Our recent journey on Finnair’s flagship routes revealed attentive, dedicated cabin crew delivering genuinely bespoke service—an approach designed to redefine comfort and well-being for discerning international travelers, as highlighted by Piia Karhu, Finnair’s Senior Vice President of Customer Experience.

In a nod to Finnish culture, Finnair brings the cherished tradition of “Kahvikutsut”—a Nordic coffee gathering

—to select long-haul morning flights from Asia. Passengers can indulge in a curated selection of seven authentic Finnish delicacies, such as Karelian pies, cinnamon rolls, coffee cake, and signature Finnish chocolates, offered between the main meal services for a truly immersive culinary experience.

The cabin ambiance on Finnair’s A350s is inspired by the serene beauty of Nordic interiors and landscapes. Expect refreshed cabin textiles, including plush seat covers, designer pillows, soft blankets, and elegant tableware, all adorned with iconic Marimekko motifs that echo the airline’s Finnish roots.

This innovative Business Class concept debuted on flights to Seoul, Tokyo, and Shanghai, and has since been extended to all long-haul destinations. The full suite of updated interiors and services is now standard on Finnair’s Airbus A350 aircraft, ensuring a consistently elevated experience for global travelers.
