First Look: British Airways New Business Class Lounge At Aberdeen Airport

British Airways has elevated its premium lounge experience at Aberdeen Airport with a sophisticated redesign of its business class lounge.

This unveiling is part of the carrier’s multi-billion-pound commitment to enhancing customer journeys, which, as of 2025, has seen a series of upmarket lounge transformations across its network.

Positioned in the airport’s recently expanded terminal, the lounge covers an impressive 380 square metres, thoughtfully arranged to cater to both business and leisure travellers.

The entrance area is tailored for guests in need of efficiency: those with limited time before departure can enjoy a quick gourmet snack, while guests with longer layovers are invited to relax in plush seating with panoramic views over the runway.

Meticulous attention has been paid to the interiors, featuring custom-made furnishings, elegant mood lighting, and marble surfaces. The design language echoes the brand’s flagship lounges worldwide, including the Rome Fiumicino location, with a striking granite-topped central bar serving as the lounge’s focal point.

The lounge proudly displays curated pieces from British Airways’ renowned Art Collection. Notably, ‘The Long Winding Shores’ by Maddie Rose Hills, inspired by the landscapes of Kinlochewe in the Scottish Highlands, adds a local touch to the contemporary setting.

Guests benefit from complimentary high-speed WiFi and an abundance of USB and power outlets, supporting productivity and connectivity throughout their stay.

Dining is a highlight, with a diverse array of offerings available throughout the day. Morning travellers can sample regional specialties such as Aberdeen Rowies, while all-day menus feature fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

This lounge is the second location to showcase British Airways’ new design direction, following the debut of the Rome Fiumicino lounge. The transformation continues at other global hubs, including the flagship New York JFK Terminal 7, which now also boasts enhanced check-in and hospitality zones.

Ongoing investment is planned for key international lounges in Geneva, San Francisco, Johannesburg, Chicago, and across the airline’s Heathrow portfolio, ensuring British Airways maintains its leadership in premium ground services in 2025 and beyond.
