SAS with new Copenhagen - Boston service

SAS Scandinavian Airlines has enhanced its transatlantic network by introducing nonstop service between Copenhagen and Boston, operated by the advanced Airbus A321LR. This highly efficient, long-range narrow-body jet has been a cornerstone of SAS’s premium long-haul offering since its debut in September 2020, delivering an exclusive three-cabin experience on this popular route.

The Airbus A321LR, known for its extended range and single-aisle configuration, allows SAS to provide direct connections between Scandinavia and North America’s East Coast with exceptional fuel efficiency. The deployment of this aircraft type has enabled SAS to introduce new routes while maintaining high load factors—a strategic advantage in today’s evolving aviation landscape. The A321LR’s flexibility supports SAS’s commitment to sustainable growth and agile route planning.

The cabin layout features 22 fully lie-flat Business Class suites, 12 spacious SAS Plus premium economy seats, and 123 SAS Go seats, all thoughtfully designed for superior comfort. Business Class passengers enjoy full-flat beds, customizable mood lighting, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a quiet, refined atmosphere. Across all classes, travelers benefit from large IFE touchscreens, in-seat power, and high-powered USB charging. The aircraft’s advanced sound insulation delivers a notably tranquil inflight environment, enhancing relaxation and productivity.

Since launching the Copenhagen–Boston route, SAS has continued to explore additional destinations within the A321LR’s impressive range, including select cities in the northeastern United States, Canada, the Middle East, and India. The airline’s ongoing fleet modernization and route expansion reflect its dedication to meeting the expectations of discerning global travelers.
