Cathay Pacific introduces The Deck, its latest premium lounge at Hong Kong International Airport, setting a new benchmark for airport hospitality.
Strategically positioned near gate 16 in Terminal 1—on the site of the former Dragonair lounge—The Deck embodies Cathay Pacific’s signature aesthetic, echoing the brand’s modern, understated luxury found throughout its global lounge portfolio. The design ethos focuses on creating a tranquil, residential atmosphere tailored for discerning travelers.
Spanning an impressive 823 square metres, The Deck accommodates up to 180 guests. The space is thoughtfully curated with elegant designer furnishings, abundant natural light, lush greenery, and captivating artworks by renowned local artists, resulting in a serene and inspiring environment for relaxation or productivity.

Gourmet Dining Experiences
Renowned for its culinary excellence, Cathay Pacific ensures The Deck delivers an elevated dining experience. The lounge’s culinary highlight remains The Noodle Bar, a beloved feature among frequent flyers and a hallmark of Cathay’s hospitality.
Guests can indulge in authentic Hong Kong flavors, including steaming bowls of wonton noodle soup, savory fish ball noodles, and an assortment of handcrafted dim sum and soft buns. The menu also showcases made-to-order Asian specialties such as spicy dan dan noodles and Japanese-inspired vegetarian options, catering to a variety of palates and dietary preferences.

The Terrace: Panoramic Views & Relaxation
The heart of The Deck is undoubtedly The Terrace—an open, L-shaped balcony that seamlessly blends indoor comfort with sweeping airfield vistas. Here, guests can unwind at communal tables or private seats while enjoying gourmet cuisine and artisanal beverages, all with a front-row view of the bustling runways and aircraft movements.
The lounge further pampers travelers with a dedicated relaxation zone featuring custom Solo chairs for privacy, eight luxurious shower suites, immaculate washrooms, and a diverse array of plush seating options dispersed throughout the space.
Since the debut of The Deck, Cathay Pacific has retired The Cabin business class lounge at Hong Kong International Airport. However, travelers continue to enjoy the brand’s acclaimed lounge offerings, including The Wing, The Pier, The Bridge, and The Arrival, ensuring a comprehensive and world-class experience for all premium passengers.
