Heathrow offers VIP treatment complete with Michelin-starred chef

London Heathrow has elevated its VIP offering through a distinguished partnership with Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton, setting a new standard for airport luxury.

Renowned for his acclaimed establishments like Pollen Street Social and Berners Tavern, Atherton now brings his celebrated culinary vision directly to Heathrow VIP guests, blending contemporary British gastronomy with impeccable service.

The Heathrow VIP experience is meticulously designed for discerning travelers seeking privacy, efficiency, and indulgence. From the moment you arrive, a personal chauffeur delivers you to a discreet private entrance. There, a dedicated concierge welcomes you and escorts you into your exclusive lounge suite, providing a sanctuary away from the crowds. All aspects of check-in and baggage are managed seamlessly within your suite, while private security screening ensures your journey remains uninterrupted.

Chef Jason Atherton’s Michelin-starred expertise is at the heart of the culinary program.

Guests may savor a curated fine-dining meal or enjoy a tailored shopping consultation, all within the tranquil ambiance of their private lounge. When departure approaches, you are chauffeured directly to your aircraft in a premium vehicle, with the flexibility to board at your preferred time, either among the first or last guests on the flight.

This prestigious service is available exclusively for travelers flying in Business or First Class, ensuring an intimate and refined environment.

Chef Atherton’s bespoke menus draw inspiration from his globally recognized restaurants, highlighting seasonal British ingredients. According to Heathrow, "Our evolving menu allows travelers to enjoy the finest British culinary artistry as they depart the UK."

The menu is refreshed monthly, reflecting the best of the season. For example, travelers this June are treated to a selection of elegant canapés, followed by a Berners Tavern-inspired summer salad, and a main course of roasted stone bass paired with caramelized cauliflower, fennel, and cockle velouté. For dessert, a delicate French meringue with fresh berry compote and strawberry sorbet awaits.

Speaking about the collaboration, Jason Atherton shared: "Together with my team and the Heathrow VIP chefs, we've crafted a menu that caters to the most sophisticated tastes. We aim to elevate every aspect of the VIP journey at Heathrow."

John Holland-Kaye, CEO of Heathrow, commented: "My first meal at one of Jason’s restaurants left a lasting impression—I immediately sought out his cookbook to try his recipes at home. I am delighted that our VIP guests can now enjoy his exceptional cuisine as part of their airport experience."
