Heathrow Airport has once again set the benchmark for excellence, earning three prestigious accolades at the 2025 Skytrax World Airport Awards.
Building on its legacy of superior service, Heathrow has been voted ‘Best Airport in Western Europe’ for yet another consecutive year, reflecting consistent passenger satisfaction. The airport also retained the title of ‘Best Airport for Shopping,’ and its iconic Terminal 5 has been honoured as the ‘World’s Best Airport Terminal’ for an impressive sixth consecutive year.
The Skytrax World Airport Awards are internationally recognised as the gold standard for evaluating airport quality, with assessments based on feedback from travellers at over 500 airports around the globe.
Heathrow CEO John Holland-Kaye commented, “We are deeply proud to be acknowledged by our passengers during a record-breaking year for travel. These awards highlight our unwavering commitment to delivering a world-class experience for every guest who passes through our terminals.”
Recent enhancements at Heathrow include expanded security screening areas, a streamlined e-gate immigration process, upgraded lounges and luxury hotels, and comprehensive training initiatives for guest-facing staff. Terminal 5, in particular, has completed a multi-year transformation, welcoming new flagship boutiques and exclusive designer brands, further elevating the luxury shopping experience for discerning travellers.
