Cathay Pacific has elevated its long-haul offering by introducing the Airbus A350-1000 to its fleet, expanding its reach to premier destinations such as Madrid, Tel Aviv, Amsterdam, Manchester, and Zurich. According to Paul Loo, Cathay Pacific’s Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, “The A350-1000 matches the -900 model in operational prowess, but delivers even greater range, ultra-efficient fuel consumption, and an exceptionally quiet, serene cabin atmosphere. Its economic advantages further strengthen our global network.”
In the past two years, Cathay Pacific has expanded its A350 network with direct flights to sought-after cities including Barcelona, Brussels, Christchurch, Copenhagen, London Gatwick, Tel Aviv, and Dublin. Most recently, the airline enhanced its African footprint by launching non-stop A350-900 service to Cape Town, reflecting its commitment to global connectivity.
As the largest member of Airbus’ A350 family, Cathay Pacific’s A350-1000 accommodates 334 passengers across Business, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins—offering 54 additional seats compared to the A350-900. This increase in capacity enables the airline to serve more travelers while maintaining exclusivity and comfort.
The latest A350-1000 cabins introduce an upgraded Economy Class seat featuring high-speed onboard Wi-Fi, expansive high-definition touchscreens, and an intuitive, next-generation entertainment system. Advanced LED mood lighting and a cabin that is perceived to be 50% quieter than previous generations ensure a tranquil, rejuvenating travel experience for all guests.
