Hyatt launches new upscale brand

Hyatt has elevated its global presence in the luxury hospitality sector with the introduction of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, a curated portfolio tailored for discerning travelers seeking distinctive, story-rich accommodations.

As part of Hyatt’s commitment to exceptional guest experiences, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brings together an exclusive selection of unique, independently spirited hotels and resorts. Each property blends authentic local character with access to Hyatt’s renowned World of Hyatt loyalty program, advanced operational support, and the trusted service standards synonymous with the Hyatt name.

Properties within The Unbound Collection by Hyatt span a spectrum of experiences, from iconic heritage landmarks in major cities to contemporary boutique escapes and luxurious resorts. While each hotel maintains its own identity and sense of place, guests enjoy the assurance of Hyatt’s consistent quality and hospitality expertise.

“The Unbound Collection by Hyatt empowers us to expand into vibrant destinations our guests are eager to explore,” noted Mark Hoplamazian, President and CEO of Hyatt Hotels Corporation. “This collection appeals to today’s sophisticated travelers who crave authentic, memorable stays, yet value the confidence and rewards that come with our brand.”

Notable properties include the legendary Driskill Hotel in Austin, Texas; the elegant Hôtel du Louvre in Paris, France; the tranquil Carmelo Resort & Spa in Uruguay; and the historic Coco Palms Resort in Kauai, Hawaii, which has completed a comprehensive restoration and reopened to guests in 2024.

“We’re inspired by the opportunity to offer guests truly shareable moments and immersive experiences that linger long after checkout,” added Hoplamazian. “For owners, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt delivers tailored support and operational agility, maximizing each property’s unique strengths.”

Hyatt’s move reflects the growing trend of ‘collection’ brands in luxury hospitality, joining the ranks of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, Hilton’s Curio Collection, Accor’s MGallery, Radisson Hotel Group’s Quorvus Collection, and Best Western’s BW Premier Collection. Starwood’s Luxury Collection and Tribute Portfolio have also set benchmarks in this dynamic category.
