This iconic building dates back to the 1700s, originally serving as a bustling coffee house operated by Dutch entrepreneur Fredrik Reiss. Over time, it evolved into a favored gathering spot for seafarers, eventually offering accommodations to travelers in the early 1800s—a tradition that has continued ever since.
