Icelandair increases Glasgow service to daily

Starting this summer, Icelandair has elevated its Glasgow to Reykjavik route to a daily service, meeting the growing demand for seamless travel between Scotland and Iceland.

Previously operating six flights per week, Icelandair now offers a daily schedule, including a new Wednesday flight. All flights depart Keflavik International Airport at 07:30 and arrive in Glasgow at 10:40, ensuring a convenient morning arrival for business and leisure travelers alike. The return journey departs Glasgow at 14:05, touching down in Keflavik at 15:25, providing ideal connectivity to the airline's extensive transatlantic network.

Andres Jónsson, Icelandair’s General Manager, commented, “We’re thrilled to introduce a daily year-round service from Glasgow, with the exception of January and February. This enhancement provides our passengers with unparalleled flexibility to curate their travel plans and ensures smooth, same-day connections to our expanding North American destinations. Icelandair now serves 16 gateways across North America, with many routes offering the fastest and most streamlined journey via Iceland.”

Icelandair’s robust UK presence includes direct flights from six major airports: London Heathrow, Gatwick, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, and Aberdeen. Travelers from the UK benefit from swift connections to Icelandair’s North American network, making the airline a preferred choice for transatlantic journeys.
