InterContinental Hotels Group proudly introduced its first Venetian property, the InterContinental Venice – Palazzo Nani, setting a new benchmark for luxury hospitality in the city.
This exclusive 51-room boutique hotel, managed in collaboration with Cordifin Group and H.n.h Hotels & Resorts Management, occupies a magnificently restored 16th-century palazzo along the historic Cannaregio Canal. Since its grand opening in 2018, the property has become a coveted address for discerning travelers seeking a blend of authentic Venetian charm and contemporary comfort.
Guests are welcomed by meticulously preserved hand-painted fresco ceilings and intricately carved wooden beams, celebrating the palazzo’s storied past. The restoration has been praised for its attention to detail and respect for the building’s original artistry, earning accolades from heritage conservation organizations.
The hotel offers a curated suite of amenities, including an indulgent wellness center, state-of-the-art event spaces, and the exclusive Club InterContinental Lounge—each designed to meet the needs of luxury travelers and business guests alike.
Robert Shepherd, Chief Development Officer for Europe at IHG, remarked: “Partnering with Cordifin S.p.a has enabled us to introduce the InterContinental brand to Venice in a way that honors the city’s unique legacy. InterContinental Venice – Palazzo Nani offers an exceptional guest experience, seamlessly merging local culture with the world-class standards InterContinental is renowned for.”
Since establishing its presence in Venice, IHG has further expanded its European portfolio, with landmark openings such as InterContinental Sofia in Bulgaria and InterContinental Ljubljana in Slovenia—each property setting new standards in their respective destinations.
