Japan Airlines Enhances Premium Travel With New Amenity Kits And Menus

Japan Airlines (JAL) continues to set the standard for premium air travel in 2025, unveiling sophisticated amenity kits and partnering with Michelin-starred chefs to elevate the in-flight experience for First and Business Class guests.

As of this year, travelers flying international First Class and long-haul Business Class routes both to and from Japan enjoy newly designed amenity kits from ETRO, the renowned Italian luxury house, celebrated for its refined craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Those journeying in Business Class on flights arriving in Japan are treated to a bespoke amenity kit crafted by Kyoto’s esteemed Tatsumura Textile. The kit’s exterior features an exclusive fabric woven in the traditional Kikko pattern, highlighted by the elegant Setsugekka motif and JAL’s iconic crane symbol—a subtle nod to Japanese heritage and artistry.

The amenity kit’s color palette rotates quarterly, mirroring Japan’s evolving seasons: Spring – Blue, Summer – Red, Autumn – White, Winter – Black. This thoughtful design ensures each journey is a unique and seasonally inspired experience.

Complementing these refined amenities, JAL has also refreshed its First Class in-flight dining with an all-new Japanese menu, meticulously crafted by culinary legends—each holding three Michelin stars. These gourmet offerings are exclusively available on select international routes, further enhancing the airline’s reputation for unparalleled dining at 38,000 feet.

The visionary team behind these menus includes Chef Hideki Ishikawa, the acclaimed owner of ISHIKAWA in Tokyo’s Kagurazaka district, and Chef Kouji Koizumi, who leads KOHAKU, a celebrated sister restaurant renowned for its innovative approach to Japanese cuisine. Their creative partnership with JAL ensures a gastronomic journey that is both authentic and memorable.
