KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has elevated its long-haul travel offering with a complete redesign of its Economy Class cabin, now featured on its Boeing 777-200 aircraft. Building on the celebrated World Business Class interiors by renowned Dutch designer Hella Jongerius, the airline has collaborated once again to deliver a refreshed, contemporary space for Economy travelers.
The reimagined Economy Class seats now feature increased pitch for improved legroom, paired with a redesigned, adjustable headrest engineered for optimal comfort on extended journeys. Travelers can enjoy an upgraded in-flight entertainment suite, boasting over 250 movies and 300 television series on vivid 9-inch HD touchscreens. A unique 'seat-chat app' enables discreet communication between passengers throughout the cabin, enhancing the social aspect of the journey.
In response to KLM’s commitment to sustainability, the new seating architecture is lighter, contributing to lower fuel consumption and reduced CO2 emissions for each flight segment.
The comprehensive retrofit of the entire Boeing 777-200 fleet has been finalized, ensuring that all 15 aircraft now offer this elevated Economy Class experience for global travelers.
